Despite Varlond Hold greatly improving load times and fixing almost every bug you can think off, it seems one slipped trough. Jenathal seems unkillable when you side against her, since she keep rising back up. Odd thing is that you can get the conversation with the inquisitor in the pause about her being dead-dead.

Are all the expansions and major bugfixes out for this yet?

Looking at the changelogs, yes and no. There's been quite a few patches to the game but only one of the expansions, Varnhold's Lot, has been released. As for the rest of them. No release date or names yet but one of them is called Beneath the Stolen Lands and judging by the description it's pretty much the Infinite Dungeons module from NWN.

There's also been another DLC that has been released but It's low effort as fuck, it's Oblivion DLC tier. The only thing it adds is the Kineticist class, tiefling playable race and a female tiefling companion as far as I can tell. Don't know if you can fuck her or not, I'm already disappointed that you can't fuck the barbarian or the gnome bard. You can fuck a nymph though so that's something.

I'm going to wait for all the content to be released and probably buy this game on a sale when I know that the game isn't busted and unfinished.

Amiri and the Orc faggo are the most pozzed characters in the game. The entire Amiri quest like is "stronk womyn rule!"

Thankfully, other characters are better and you can banish or kill any character you don't like.

The orc faggot is pushing up daisies, the elf girl is working as my regent (out of necessity, poor choice).

Oh, you get TWO tiefling kineticist followers with the expansion…kinda.

Nah, the system works well enough (since its' a RPG game first and foremost, not a 4X), but the biggest problem is lack of choice for advisors. Especially some roles.

I just pirated this and tried it out.

This game definitely caters to all BG1/2 crowd.

Good

-isn't afraid to fuck you up, and you can't be fucked up anyway if you just read tutorials.

-quite a large scope, half a day in and I just became a baron.

-there are timed events and your choices matter, even if a little. For example:

>going after your rival soon rather than later and you witness an ongoing conflict between the kobolds and that other race. Go after your rival later and the conflict isn't there

>Or when some guy requests berries and that you should do it right away, and if it took you so long you're gonna do it again because the berries soured

-a lot of skill checks, be it in accessing hidden areas or dialogue

-companions are just okay. Pillars companions are great in comparison.

-custom companions

-interesting camping bants

-camping feels kind of immersive

-has mods to rotate camera, speed up travel and immediately go to world map

Meh

-overall writing is serviceable to okay.

-inventory management. Maybe it isn't that much of an issue except during quests where you have to put a specific herb in a chest, and you're looking through each Misc. item to see which one it is.

Bad

-loading, it's almost or probably as bad as Pillars 1, and there are a lot of it. From simply going in to check/manage your towns to simply going into houses. It's quite bad.

-lots of companions are annoying: that orc guy, that barbarian girl. The writing with the knight girl revealing she's an atheist was not really good. Eder and Durance did the losing faith thing a lot better.

-speed when travelling. Like I said, it took me almost a whole day just to get to chapter 2. A lot of the time was spent simply travelling, and it's really slow. I think there are mods for this.
