The Getaway recreated London, which was really fucking cool. It was pretty faithful to the real thing in that I could drive by my old apartment. Didn't have nearly the same amount of traffic though, but that's when you have to give up realism in exchange for gameplay I guess.
Call of Duty always took place in real locations, when they didn't use made-up Durkadurkastan names.
Microsoft Flight Simulator did a good job of recreating cities and locations, at least the important landmarks of specific buildings.

Does it count if it was obviously supposed to be depicting a real life location without explicitly naming it as such? Because GTA V is a pretty close approximation of the locations its based on. Rockstar basically made a 1:1 Los Angeles and then stripped out 90 percent of the big Suburbs keeping only some neighborhoods. Probably because they figured making most of the map housing tracts like in real life would've made the map too monotonous. Places like Westchester for example are just completely gone because most of it apart from LAX are just neighborhoods. The Salton Sea (The Alamo Sea in game) is about right but its not in the right location geographically. In real life its way down south near the border of Mexico (which makes that one Spic mission with Trevor make more sense) but ironically its actually more lively in GTA then it is in real life where Desert Shores is pretty much a ghost town by this point aside from a single thrift store, gas station, and one or two houses still being occupied. And also the 405 starts from the bottom where it reaches the 110 and stops north where is reaches the 10 after passing the 105 east. The 110 in the game also seems to turn into the 710 immediately. The western highway is obviously PCH the Northern highway is obviously the 5 and the Eastern Highway might be the 605 but its hard to say

V is the most faithful reproduction of LA though which is why I only counted that one. They included that rusty park on the sand on the beach by Coney Island and shit so I assume they got a lot of details right

Though Italy recovered a bit, and there has been construction work in Ireland, which is not a long term economic plan by the way, Ireland has also been getting taxed for shit they never had to pay for before, like water, and overall the cost of living is getting too high.
There has been massive emigration of well educated Irish young people to Australia as its prevented to be a better place to find work.

Later DX games continued in this use of globetrotting tourist trap settings, to keep with its "ripped from the tabloid headlines" theme.
DX also inspired similar levels in the not!fangame DX-alikes VtM:B (set in LA) and Alpha Protocol (globetrotting spy motif like DX).
