What people really hated about that game was the inventory system, why the fuck was the item box gone and why is rebecca the only one that can crush herbs and mix them, when billy presumably has a lot more experience with improvised medicine since he's a war vet?

People didn't hate PE2, it just didn't sell as much as RE2 so square dropped it, didn't help that the author of the novel it's based on threw a shitfit and didn't let them use the name for anything else.
>It is unfortunately too easy on Normal, so people never get to explore the mechanical depth that is in there.
Agree with you, i wish bounty/nightmare mode was unlocked from the start, that way people would learn how fun and surprisingly strategic this game is, i love how you have to pick your fights and make do with whatever the game throws at you.
>You'll have to rely on a shitty pistol for a good chunk of the game due to a lack of other easily replenishable ammo, and thus will learn what critical hits, range and penetration truly means
>You WILL use weapons other than the M4A1 with underslung grenade launcher
>Actual grenades are rare drops, the only "grenades" you can buy are riots and they cost way too much
>All the parasite EXP you get is going to get invested into energy shot, pyrokinesis, necrosis and antibody, so healing has to be done with items/via the tactical vest that gives back a small amount of health after every fight, which means you can't afford to get hit
>You have to pick up the secret black keycard at the beginning of the game in order to get a free shotgun and access to unlimited shells and more powerful pistol ammo
>You'll have to consult a guide in order to find all the item pickups, you will need them
>Saving the dog is no longer a choice only subhumans let him die anyway, that calico you get is capable of mowing down golems with ease
>Saving pierce is a necessity, as he owns the best armor in the game and a trinket that reduces damage taken
>All those HP UP serums, tonic 3 and colas you get have to be spent wisely
>There's golems everywhere and they drop valuable items, so you can't just run from every fight
>Bosses hit so goddamn hard that killing them will actually feel rewarding
>Enemy variety is at its best
>Good ending path is a given, as you get access to unlimited grenades, unlimited rifle/machinegun ammo and the best weapons in the game
