All these retro consoles were nostalgia fed. But a Saturn or/and Dreamcast collection would be doing a service to gamers. I think I saw one Dreamcast back then and no Saturns.

Sega Saturn. Basically all the good games never were released in the west so you're stuck with some pretty good fighting games and some horribly dated racing games. Oh also a decent port of Quake. Expensive as hell to buy for too

I grew up in a Sega household, so I never really got into Nintendo systems outside of their handhelds. Skipped out on the NES, SNES, and N64. GameCube was my first real Nintendo system which I had to buy myself, and I thought it was decent enough even though I pretty much used it as a PSO box. The Wii was alright, but I couldn't get into waggling controls and it had a huge mountain of shovelware to sift through which turned me off of using it. Didn't get a WiiU, because there was no reason to - and I got a Switch pretty much just for Splatoon 2 and piracy.

Even if I wanted to get into Nintendo at this point, sans the piracy, I can't justify actually paying the artificially inflated prices on older games because Nintendo has a bug up their asses about associating "high prices" with the illusion of "premium products" their brand represents. Which, they wouldn't have that problem in the first place if they had just stood by the Nintendo Seal of Quality and didn't allow their systems to be flooded with garbage.

Never got into Neo-Geo, Jaguar, TG16, or any of the other attempts to break into the market by other companies. Even to this day with emulation I don't really bother with their catalogs through emulation since they just don't really come to mind the way Sega and Nintendo does.

Anything from Sony, honestly. Playstations from the first to now, PSP, and Vita. I just couldn't get into them, out of the other console brands. Playstation 1 and 2 were okay, would play them if I was over someone's house. Stuff like the PSP and PS3 were out of my price range.By the 7th gen, I just happened to get an Xbox 360 instead of a PS3, and cross-platform games were a big thing at that point, meaning that having one console over the other did not matter that much. When the 8th generation hit, I didn't bother buying consoles anymore, since everything became cross-platformed with everything, and I didn't want to pay $60 to use multiplayer anymore and stuck with PC.

I can only look back on my DMG-001 Game boy with memories of joy. Conversely I never got into the game gear because its games looked too simplistic and the thing was also really expensive.

I also never got into the Wii because it was a shovelware pile.

I thought the same thing when I'd finally gotten a gaming PC. You weren't missing out on jack shit. Anything worth playing on PC is available for console. The one thing PC has over consoles in modding, and that's a pretty big thing honestly.

Apparently it's unfathomable that some people may not find this utter shit appealing.

As for me the Atari VCS is pretty lackluster, only a few games are appealing, usually Activision ones and a few miscellaneous ones like Hero. Some of the games are retarded cryptic like superman and indiana jones. The best system from this gen is the Colecovision, but it's mostly just alternate versions of Arcade games, usually very good ones however. The N64 has some good games on it but even the hidden gemmies are few and far between. The Gamecube is also pretty bad. A lot of those shit 90s consoles like the 3DO, CDi, Jaguar are novel at best but not worth any time.
