>Weapons, sounds and effects are abysmal, things like mines and rockets are the size of pebbles and you can barely see them on the track and they pack no punch of oomph whatsoever
>None of the ambience around the tracks is solid, meaning that people can literally skip entire sections of racetracks simply by boosting right off the fucking track and flying through buildings, mountains and shit anywhere at their leisure, and land back on another section of the track way further ahead, thud breaking multiplayer matches six ways from sunday, not to mention it speaks volumes about the design of the tracks, which people would rather skip over entirely by flying through walls
>Floatiness mechanics of the ships is nonexistent, up/down ship nose pitching is pointless
>Grinding walls has no consequences, feels like a smooth velvety rub
>Ships are heavily unbalanced for their own game and don't handle well at all
>Workshop ships are more broken than a Lockheeb Starfighter in terms of stats balancing to the point of sending the game itself into a frenzy on a fundamental level (imagine 2097 Piranha with all its maxed out states multiplied by ten. That's how most of them work, on any speed level because none of the modders actually care enough to balance their shit)
>Hitting walls bounces you in the opposite direction like a supersonic rubber ball
>If you fall through the track hard enough upon collision with a wall, you'll actually glitch the game so hard it'll think you actually went through the fucking skybox and left the gameworld altogether, triggering a rescue droid ship that painstakingly drags your ship back onto the track ala WipEout 2097
>If you're lucky, crashing into a wall, or the floor itself, at any angle glitches you THROUGH the track, then bounces you right back up into the map, like you're making a quick visit to fucking Hades and being kicked right out
>Presentation just feel cheap overall, art design looks stale and soulless
>Dev has the gall to demand people to pay for it now despite it being free for a long time, and despite it straight up being a WipEout ripoff, down to the very same design philosophy and (mostly) mechanics
Among many other things I don't remember anymore. It's been a long time since I played it. I will however commend it for its modability, including WipEout ships and some new tacks. Might as well play the original instead of the imitation. AlsoWipEout 64 is just an inferior clone of 2097 without any verticality because the n64 couldn't handle it.
