Are there any other games out there that will give me the same feeling as these two games?

I'm really in need of some new games right now.

Panzer Dragoon Saga does the trick.

Illusion of Gaia really was a game that knew how to give you melancholy. I guess the closest I know would be Pathologic or The Void.

What's it like?

Man my thread never had a chance on a day like today.

the op is a little abstract anon. what kind of "feeling" are you talking about? i might have suggestions if you could put it into words

Illusion of Gaia is the third in the series after Soul Blazer, Terranigma. The others aren't really the same feel but they are enjoyable.

I guess it it. What I meant was that I'm looking for a sort of game about exploration of ruins and discovering the truth of lost civilizations that have been hidden by time and cataclysm. That sort of feeling or excitement, and curiosity, and melancholy wrapped up all into one.

Check out Nostalgia on the DS. It's a JRPG with a ton of ancient civilization crap in it, and a stock villain group chasing a stock mysterious girl to get ancient technology and take over the world.

The Dig is a point and click adventure made by Lucasarts back in their golden age. It perfectly, and I mean 100%, nails the "stranger in a strange land" vibe, and does a good job of slowly feeding you the story of what happened to the ancient, abandoned planet you end up on. it's honestly one of my favorite games ever, and even has Robert Patrick AKA the dude who was the T-1000 in Terminator 2 as the voice actor for the main character

PDS is an RPG where you control a dragon-riding soldier in a ruined world. That's it, no colorful cast of whimsical heroes, just a few NPCs in a handful of inhabited locations. The PD series is inspired by Moebius' Arzach, and has the same sort of feel.

Well, Terranigma, on the off-chance you haven't played it. And La Mulana 2 for that matter.

Is there a good Saturn emulator? And does PDS work well one one? I always wanted to play it as a kid.
