You don't wind down by staring at a screen, no matter how "comfy", or whatever gay shit you want to call it, the game is. If you want to wind down, read a book or something like that. Electronics are stimuli; it's counterproductive if you're trying to fall asleep.

Back when my desktop died and I just had a laptop to keep me busy I usually found myself nodding off to either puzzle games or rpgs, often listening to relaxing music. GBA games are actually really good for winding down

Staring at screens makes you less sleepy no matter what. It will just fuck up your sleep habits and you REALLY don't want that shit.

Night Light mode helps, f.lux as well and any other similar situation, but it's still never as good as actually having the damn thing turned off.

If you want to "wind down" before falling asleep, I also recommend reading a book for 2 good reasons:

1 - It doesn't count as stimuli so it won't keep you awake like a monitor or cellphone would.

2 - You're not gonna read books during the entire day, might as well take 20-30 minutes at night and actually reading something.

If you're not worried about not sleeping, here's a list of shit that happens because you don't sleep properly:

Fucked up blood circulation. You're gonna feel tired more often, without strength to do anything. You're also going to feel cold or heat more severely.

Fucked up mental capabilities. You're going to be slow as fuck, there's gonna be plenty of "why didn't I thought of that?" several hours later too.

Fucked up personality. You're gonna be grumpy and paranoid as fuck. Everyone will seem to be out to get you and you won't trust anything, not even yourself. Worse still, depression creeps in very easily when you do this for a long while.

If you don't sleep properly, you're gonna turn out to be a feebleminded weakling, paranoid and depressed as fuck. Trust the Anons giving you advice on this shit because they most likely know this first-hand and fixing fucked up sleeping habits is really fucking hard.

Try 10 years. I've lost count of how many "reset weekends" I've tried, where I'll sleep extra time and then spend the next week actually focusing on a sleep schedule.

There's always something keeping me awake, there's always a thread to shitpost on or a new videogame I tried and the odd times there isn't, some bullshit IRL picks that one night to keep me awake.

The hardest part about it is that you're not just fighting against yourself but also against everything around you.

AC City Folk for Wii.

It's a zen garden game. You're supposed to play for like 20 minutes a day when you feel like winding down. Play at night and the game treats you like it's night. Villagers yawning and taking nightly strolls. There's still things to do, fish, garden, bug-hunt, dig for fossils, but it doesn't require a whole lot of mental investment. And your control scheme is very simple. One thing that everyone overlooks about the Wii's controller design is the ability to seperate your hands. Half the controller is in each hand, and this is much comfier. Plus, you can forgoe the nunchuk and just point the controller at the sensor to move your character, that means almost no movement from your hand is required to play.

Religion isn't only a matter of objective truth, though, you fucktard. It's much more concerned with teaching the right way to live on earth as whatever prophet or holy man perceived it. Having your own religion is nearly as important as having your own culture because most of it is the same thing.

Games like Densha de Go! or Railfan are extremely relaxing. Another game that just puts me to sleep is Zelda Twilight Princess.

Get yourself a laptop and a USB controller to play in bed. You can emulate some older FF games, or play VNs that way, which I have done tons of. For VNs try Umineko, that shit will carry you off to sleep like no other and is longer than the bible itself so you'll have years of content there.

I usually just put on some rain loop in the background and play Minecraft (or, more ideally, Minetest) for a while.

Park Tycoons, especially Jurassic Park Operation Genesis. Make a save after researching hatchery immunisation and all vaccines, removing pretty much the only real stress factor, then build comfy parks from that point whenever you want to get sleepy.
