Street fighter is not big in any way, shape or form. The ONLY modern version that sold was vanilla SF4, with about 4 million sales. You could say Super sold well at 2 million, too, but nothing after that has broken a million sales. AE, Ultra, SFV, season passes, etc. It's not a cash cow. It wouldnt have been made if Sony didnt pay for it and it was hot garbage dumpster fire that never recovered from launch. It has about 2 million shipped and thats with week two heavy discounts and has never sold for full price in 99% of the lifetime. MK, Injustice, Tekken 7 and DBZ sold millions at launch before any sales.
SF is all but dead franchise right now. Only way a new one comes out is if someone else funds it or they just shit out SF 5.5 with all reused assets for the PS5.
