I'm just hoping they fuck over Palutena real hard to reduce the number of people playing her because of how insanely fucking obnoxious and tedious fighting her is. In fact I think most Sakurai OC is a bit too fucking obnoxious in a lot of fights, but none of them outright make me regret playing like Palutena. The moment I see Palutena I just know nothing about the fight is going to be enjoyable or fun.

Every fight I've ever had against Palutena has boiled down to the game being altered in a way that makes it feel like a different and worse game simply due to the nature of her moves. There are plenty of other characters I find annoying, but at least with those the fights feel like they flow along smoothly and at a good pace, and sometimes you see some interesting shit.
Every fight against Palutena just feels like I'm playing a different, and very obnoxiously drawn out game. It's the one fighter I've noticed having this problem, where their moves just alter the way the game is played for the worse. The gun destroys more of the shield now when you miss your target. It'll destroy up to 50% of the circle centering on your shot, which is huge. I'm pretty sure it was something like 25/30% before. Fire at the wrong side of a Legend Class and you'll effectively have 75% of the shield open. Pop a Shield Spacer before your second shot and you're all but guaranteed to hit.
Additionally, non-pinned spirits will not automatically disappear when you lose. Rather, you get three attempts. If you fail three times, it'll disappear as before. Pinned spirit battles in future events will likely ignore the new 3-Strikes rule and stick around until their timer expires or they are defeated, same as before. This is nice for fighting spirits like Judge where you will get annihilated by accident sometimes. It also helps with Legend class spirits, but they will still disappear if you win and then miss your target.
Lastly, the "limited edition" Mario spirits from before (Dice Block, Golden Dash Mushroom, River Survival) can all be found as regular battles on the Board again. The LGPE save-data spirits (Partner Pikachu and Partner Eevee) can also be found as Board battles now. According to the patch notes, they can all show up in the gold Shop at the Vault. I have at least seen the Dice Block in there, so I consider that proof they aren't lying/retarded.

As long as we don't get another fucking character that uses a sword and has an up b sword slice recovery move, a neutral b sword charge, a forward b sword lunge, and a down b counter, or another copypasted moveset, I'll be happy with it. By far my biggest problem with the game as is is how many characters have very similar movesets, with some exceptions like Ryu and Ken which is how all echo characters should have been done, if at all.
In fact it makes me sad knowing that the only DLC is just going to be characters, when there's so much shit that could be done to fix up the game other than increasing the roster, like getting some new codec calls, improving customization options like being able to select specific sets of the stages that move around the way world of light battles sometimes do, reintroducing stage creation, etc. The fact that they're doing nothing with anything unrelated to characters for DLC tells me that the DLC characters are just going to be promotional, so I'm guessing we're seeing nothing but crammed in garbage from upcoming releases, and maybe a character to coincide with a promotional sale for and existing game on the platform like Dark Souls or something.
The only things I really want out of DLC are not related to characters and won't happen, so I can only be positively surprised at this point.

I know Capcom and Square have been trying to pander to the West, and I know it's been going pretty horribly for the most part. DmC and Dead Rising 4 were embarrassments for Capcom, but they're trying to turn it around with DMCV and RE2make. I'd also vouch for Slippy as a fighter as well because Slippy CAN'T be a clone. Slippy would be way too fat and heavy to pull off Fox's and Falco's speedy moves. So Slippy's melee would have to use a wrench as a weapon. Meaning Slippy is slower than Wolf, but he makes up for it with power.
Slippy neutral B uses Twin Blasters that he can burst fire, but can't rapidly spam because after a burst fire he can charge lock-on laser by holding B. Side-B would call out a flying drone that shoots at anything in front of it regardless of angle, then it self-destructs like a smaller smart bomb. Down B is ass reflector. However Slippy will turn around and leap away with a few i-frames. Plus Slippy can leap around shields because he does no damage. On one hand this move is a joke when used as a reflector. On the other hand you can play some mind games by facing away from the opponent, then leap frog past their guard and counter, and following up with a wrench Smash attack. Up B is Fire Frog, but unlike Fire Fox and Fire Bird, Fire Frog has a curved trajectory because Slippy's so goddamn fat and sucks at flight. Final Smash is Starfox Guard where Slippy and his Uncle sit in a security room as the lasers hidden around the stage blast everyone in sight.
On one hand Slippy doesn't have a flash. On the other hand as a toad, Slippy has pretty high ground jump along with his wrench giving him killer reach on the ground and in the air. Plus you can angle Slippy's jumps with more forward momentum by holding the stick forward or back. Slippy would have faster lateral aerial speed than his running speed. Which means you can leap like a toad with short hopping to gain ground almost as fast as Captain Falcon's run speed.
Yes, Slippy is a joke and I don't really see him higher than B-tier. However in the right hands Slippy is that wildcard surprise character who can throw melee fags for a loop as his aerials would be made to counter wave dashing. There's just too much risk in pulling those moves off for the average player that only those who master Slippy will be able to pull off flawlessly.
