Multiplayer fighting game released under the banner of Tasofro with ZUN's approval. Has a great battle system, allowing for fun matches, but hosting players are required to forward ports.

>How do I install it?
Extract into the folder of your choice and launch Enable SWR content in soku.bat. From now on, you can use Launch Hisoutensoku + sokuroll.bat to launch the game all ready for the netplay. The game will still miss some things that you would normally get if you play story mode and arcade mode, but you can download the full unlock file from here - http://koumakan.jp/games/score123.dat and replace it with the one in your game folder to skip the effort of getting everything.
>How do I host?
Host player forwards the port (detailed instructions are available on the internet) and provides IP with a port in an IP:Port format, launches the game with the .bat file and uses the Vs Network menu to start the server. Client has to connect to provided IP and port.

If you hosted MB I’d definitely play. I personally think the game is loads of fun even with the usual complaints people have about it. The question is though, will the netplay be feasible? CCCaster has some issues with playing with people that are far away. The best games I’ve had have been with my friend who lives in the same town. When playing with people even sort of far away I’ve always encoutered issues (yes, I had the stage animations turned off). If people from all over the world are playing it some issues may come up.

He's probably saying that no one does dial-A's in the first place because they do low damage and don't limit. There are more damaging combos for each character, but they have to be more precise both positioning-wise and timing-wise. If you fuck up doing it, opponent can recover and you lose the knockdown. Marisa's basic ground combo should be 5AAA 5B 214B and the timing on the 5B is pretty strict, so if you miss it, the opponent just goes on the ground after 5B and you 214 right past the enemy, giving him so much free time to recover. It's a pain to do this because of sokuroll, maybe I'll grind the timings someday.

No, compared to the screenshot in the OP, you don't have two characters. To fix it, download the score file from OP and put it in your game folder. Then, restart the game and launch SokuRollLoader.exe inside the folder. This usually changes your game's header to something similar to this, though it will show up as garbled garbage if you do not have japanese fonts installed.

Important things in this game are dodging what bullets you can afford, blocking enemy attacks that you can't evade, blocking enemy attacks on wakeup and positioning yourself properly to deal maximum damage. While you're blocking, you can break one of your spirit orbs by holding a direction and double-tapping dash - this forces a dash out of a blocking position. It is important for getting out of otherwise very painful situations.

Sometimes the game refuses to allow players to connect to hosts as spectators. There is no known fix, sometimes it just happens - rehosting sometimes solves the issue, but not every time.
TO PREVENT FUCKUPS, PLEASE ALLOW THE GAME TO SAVE YOUR REPLAYS BY DEFAULT IN CONFIG -> REPLAY SAVE: ALWAYS INSIDE THE GAME. IF STRMFAG FAILS TO CONNECT, PLAY OUT YOUR MATCHES AND GIVE REPLAYS TO STRMNIGGER WHILE SPECIFYING WHO PLAYED WHICH CHARACTER
2. Neither player can host a game.
This can happen sometimes because people are either incompetent or outright incapable of forwarding their ports. Generally, to resolve those situations, people should make use of alternatives such as Hamachi and Zerotier. If that happens, both of you will be given 10 minutes to solve the issue, then one of you will advance down the bracket via coinflip.
TO PREVENT FUCKUPS, IF YOU CAN'T FORWARD PORTS AND THUS HOST, PLEASE CONSIDER INSTALLING HAMACHI IN ADVANCE, MAKING A FREE THROWAWAY ACCOUNT AND A FREE NETWORK ON IT. THIS WAY, WHEN YOUR MATCH COMES UP AND BOTH OF YOU ARE BLANK ON HOSTS, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GIVE A NETWORK ID AND A PASSWORD TO YOUR OPPONENT, RESTART THE GAME AND GIVE HAMACHI IP TO YOUR OPPONENT.
