I recently read The Iliad, going in without any preconceptions about Achilles' sexuality, and there's honestly nothing in it that suggests he's gay. Hell, the plot revolves around a women being taken from him. He's upset that his comrade is killed in battle, understandably; nothing about butt-fucking or anything remotely sexual or romantic.
