Since the Last of Us there has seem to be a pattern of triple a games that focus on the relationships between the protagonists, like Ellie-whatshisface and Kratos-boy. Will there be a moment when last quarter releases will be manufactured to pull our heartstrings and push the inclusiveness agenda in the same fashion oscar-bait is?

It's not hard to see this has been happening for a long ass time. We already have VGA-bait. We've had it since TellTale's The Walking Dead. Indie games and AAA titles that focus on pretty/"pretty" graphics and shallow stories have been getting released left and right. The game industry is chasing the dream of becoming the movie industry.

I'd say its pretty much already has accomplished that with just Sony alone, and the rest of the other AAA publishers going in for sloppy seconds.

There's 1 protagonist and a shitty talking head you cannot mute, relegate somewhere far away, kill or interact with in any meaningful ways.

It's as if you were forced to listen to cassette tapes from bioshock, except even worse.

I hope you enjoy being taken control out of your character, pressing the left thumbstick up and nothing else and watching 3 hour long cutscenes along with SJW pandering and forced stealth sections on washed out colored backdrops that remove immersion for Hollywoodesque tier shit and hand holding.
