We need a new Shinobi game. Not a 3D one, but a remake of the old genesis style games with new elements. Think like, a Sonic Mania type remake. What do you think this idea would be like in practice?

to be honest the first thought I had when I read that was something like the XBOX ninja gaiden. I would love that but i imagine that isn't what you want.

I wouldn't mind that. I loved Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox, but I feel like that isn't really Shinobi. It's Ninja Gaiden, which is an excellent game in it's own right.

Hotkeys for magic instead of having to fuck up the pacing by pausing and navigating a menu to use it would be pretty nice.

There was a Shinobi game with decent sprite art, but it was a cell phone game. It would have been nice if they had made a GBA game like this (instead of the awfully ugly Shinobi game released for that system), but I guess they weren't expecting a lot of Nintendo system owners to have interest in such franchise back then.
