I like playing on the servers that pop up here every now and then but nothing will ever beat the threads that hosted servers of the super early versions years ago on halfchan. Long ass stalemates on classicgen, and all that fucking OC. I still miss the eyerape of staring directly at the ground and laughing at faggots that couldn't figure out how to get out of the water before autoclimb was implemented.

Autojump and smg ruined it. It was at its finest when moving around was so awkward that it encouraged collective infrastructure projects such as tunnels and highways. Also, smg made fortifications almost obsolete since the enemy could just pew pew pew the whole thing from afar. Sad!

They did, and everyone assumed they fixed it, but instead they added all the same cancer features, like autoclimb and smg, that ruined the original because they're as retarded as the original devs.

You fucking retards need to learn what OpenSpades is. It's a fucking client for Ace of Spades 0.75 and 0.76. It doesn't support other versions. There is no such thing as an OpenSpades server. OpenSpades users and vanilla users can both play on a vanilla, PySpades, or PySnip server.
