I had an idea for a game.
>character select screen like ps1 twisted metal
>pick between psychos with bios
>all characters have strengths and weaknesses and specials
>game takes place in stages
>first stage is just a suburban home
>second, small store
>third, school
>forth, concert
>etc, each stage is an escalation and the resistance to your efforts will be increased
>goal is to murder (reason for being a killer is in your bio)
>able to earn points depending on how you decide to murder
<npcs would be rendered in three layers
>skeletal
>muscular
>skin
>all major organs would be rendered as objects within npc
>npcs would have defined tasks such as using bathroom or eating
>any food npc eats has a corresponding vomit texture if you rupture stomach
>npcs react to sound and investigate or run
>npcs react to smoke and fire
>can drown
With all that being said here is how it would go.
You pick your character and your loadout and start. A stage would be a fully destructible building and the game would work as a puzzle/action game.
Your goal would be to kill as many people as possible. The people would be fully destructible just like the building.
Here are some tactics you could employ:
>chain fire exits and pull fire alarm, shoot people as they try to flee
>demolish stairwell to trap people on a floor
>set explosives and drop a ceiling on a group
>use stealth and silently kill everyone
>if npcs barricade, use fire or smoke to flush them out
>just walk in and shoot everyone or use a mele weapon
Depending on your score you would unlock new weapons, gadgets and executions.
