Yeah delivered just fine on to my Xbox hard drive. Don't be a chump waiting for emulation that will require a PC that costs 16 times the cost of an Xbox, just get one, hard drive upgrade it, and load the games on to it. You'll find more hours of entertainment with a modded original xbox than you'd find with just about any other platform these days. Whether you have friends or not there's awesome stuff that is either only on the system or is still best on the system, even including PC versions on the Xbox.

An Xbox Mini? I doubt it. NES/SNES Minis did well because they had the Nintendo name on them. The PS Classic is underperforming to the point where it can be found at half price. Nobody gives a shit about the others.
All of these systems are relying on established emulators playable on hardware under $40, which the OG Xbox lacks. So they would need to basically redesign the hardware and software from the ground up, which would cost money that they could put toward improving the existing OG and 360 compatibility on the Xbox One. It's already decent, with improved loading times and true HD resolutions. If they announced support for EVERY OG and 360 game, with enhancements to come and a drop in price, it would lead to a lot more people invested in the Xbox Live ecosystem where MS makes the real money.
Oh, and game selection for a Mini would be hampered thanks to OG LIVE being killed off in the 360 days. It would be a little embarrassing to release a system where a bunch of the games have features that are literally impossible to use.
The only way I can see an Xbox Mini being worthwhile is if they can fit it into something the size of a Gamecube, include a disk drive for people to play their older games that aren't yet playable on the later systems, AND make it super affordable. But more likely they'll put out some kind of limited edition OG-themed Xbox One X with a special startup video or something.

The OG Xbox sold about 24 million units worldwide. Mostly in North America and Europe. The Sega Master System sold about 20 Million units worldwide - mostly in Europe and South America. Each has some gems that are looked back on as being classics of the generation, but are usually played in retrospect as they didn't really make a huge impact at the time, and the rest of their libraries were forgettable. I'd say they're fairly comparable systems.
