It's that time of the year once again, time for the 4th Annual Metal Gear Marathon. As with the last 3 marathons it will be Metal Gear Solid 1,2,3,4 and Rising done over the course of a week. It will be followed by the usual Churazy games block this year being DMC 1,3,4.
As of late last year my internet is no longer super shit so ill be able to stream to both Youtube and Twitch at the same time so pick where you would prefer to watch, tho the youtube chat is usually where all the activity is if your looking to shitpost with others.
Will be kicking things off tonight with Metal Gear Solid Integral which I had tried to do last year instead of the regular version of MGS1 but hit technical difficulties which i have now solved.
Integral has some extra copy protection that makes playing it on non NTSCJ consoles tricky despite owning a legit copy of the game I couldn't get it to play nice with my PSX but I have a new PS2 that has come to the rescue

I have for the last 2 years looked to put MG1 and 2 onto the end of the marathon but honestly after a week of Metal Gear in a row you start to burn out, even if MG1 is only 3-4 hours and MG2 at 8 ish hours. I have done both games on stream before several times tho.

Actually I use to go over to a mates home and just play through vidya but it became harder to arrange free time and the such which is why I started streaming in the first place. The Metal Gear Marathon has been going on for years before I started streaming it the stream was done as a way to sort of emulate hanging out with friends playing through vidya and people seem to enjoy it so iv just kept doing it.

Is the sound really de-synced? I don't have a twitch or youtube account to post in the chat with, but even with that pause at the end of the briefing videos the subtitles appear in proper time with the lines, and Snake's mouth movements seems to match up properly. Other little sound effects seem properly synced, too, like the cuts between camera angles and the sound of the tape ejecting.

MGS4 is now done and by chance i finished on the best possible ranking for me.
Next up the Finale of the Metal Gear Marathon, Metal Gear Rising. Stream ETA 15 ish hours from now. That will be followed up by DMC 1,3,4 because doing just 1 churazy game is never enough and with 5 coming out this is the perfect time to revisit DMC.

Honestly, you should try Devil May Cry 2, people who have never played DMC2 fully are the ones who think the entire game is bad; it's easy to cheese, but if you play any devil may cry in cheese mode the game gets really easy and kinda boring to watch. The combo system is actually a lot more involved than people give it credit for.
