My theory for MGSV was that Solidus was Venom Snake, would have been cool as Solidus was the true son of Big Boss.

Yes, MGS2 was my favorite MG and it's a shame the series just dumped the villain and the original idea of the patriots to fellate BB and the shitty radio crew for the rest of the series.
