Web of Shadows is great because of the skill ceiling with web swinging. You can use your double jump to cancel all vertical momentum. You can use the dodge to quickly escape from buildings. And you can do what webm is doing and release the web right about when the web gets tension to get incredible speed.

Doctor Octopus' origin this time is downright depressing and the ending was also the most glorious subtle "fuck you" to that retarded faggot now "leftist" hack for one of the shittiest asspulls in superhero comics I thankfully never suffered through.

I can't comment on the game itself, heard it's an OK game but pretty pozzed though. Piracy is apparently coming to PS4 firmware 6.x very soon (some are saying by the end of the year), so if you really want to try it out probably best to turn off updates and just wait a little bit instead of buying it.

Okay game. Mary Jane and Miles sneaking missions suck ass and shouldn't be there. Combat can get kind of grindy if you're going for 100%, especially in the later parts of the game side missions. If you follow the campaign it's perfectly balanced but these base takeover side mission really break the games combat that I doubt they playtested this part of the game.
By the time you get to the end you'll likely have filled your skill tree. Even if you did, it'll still feel hard because of four factors: leveling system, number of enemies on screen, the type of enemies you face and your meter. The leveling system has you gaining a percentage of what the original stat you previously had by a certain amount. It might seem big but its small amounts to health or attack power with the skill points. Even at 50, you still take huge amounts of damage from the same minion types as before so the end result is similar to level scaling where the enemy is close to your level to challenge you, no matter how many levels you gain.
The number of enemies you face in these base takeovers is a ludicrous amount. I haven't counted it but it has to be 20-25 enemies at the same time in a wave. It might not be so bad since you can run away to regroup your strategy and thin their numbers but you have to deal with the abusive types they group together that really break the game. Snipers, Rocket Launchers, Fatman Brutes, Fliers and Machine Gunners. They might be easy to takedown in small numbers but when they are sent in in 3-5 packs in a wave with 2-3 of either types listed above, it can become a torturous grind, no matter if you unlocked all the skills and how good you think you are with combat.
Fighting 20 enemies at the same time while having to dodge homing snipers and rockets from off-screen. Your spidey sense won't work for these off-screen attacks for most of the time because you're fighting the immediate danger of close combat and trying to dodge it. You've got skills that you can gain to takedown these snipers and rocket guys but you have to face them and time a button press to take advantage of these skills. Even if you use the doge abilities, you can take chip damage because of the homing nature of the shots. There is no sense of invincibility of the dodge. You might dodge the punch of an incoming enemy but the homing attack of the close combat attacker next to the guy or sniper shot might hit you anyway. If it's the big brutes you face, expect 35-40% damage with one punch.
You do have gadgets but you'll be using them out of necessity to survive instead of for the fun of it. You'll likely abuse the electro shooting bot, hover bomb and anything that'll minimize the number of enemies you face during these long waves of base takeovers. I wouldn't be surprised if you face 100+ enemies during these base takeovers and you'll likely runout of gadgets to abuse so you'll have to rely of the meter you have left to tough it out.
Meter is tied to 2 things, health regeneration and quick takedowns. You'll get 3 in the end and you can get abilities to auto regen when health is low and use a meter to heal. If you don't have that, you'll have to do it manually. You can also upgrade to do 2 takedowns with one meter. Now, guess why this is a problem in the amped up base challenges. Because there are a certain type of enemies that can be only taken down with 2 meters that your constantly in danger of running out of health. You want to take them down quickly but you'll be left with 1 meter remaining. To gain meter you have to constantly fight so you have have a meter reserve to heal but the situation you'll be in with 20-25 enemies at the same time with snipers in the distance and taking chip damage at any point. You want to take down the tougher enemy types but you're constantly trying to save meter to heal or have insurance that you won't die in these long base takeovers that can take 10 minutes. In the DLCs, especially int he final one, they ramp this up to 6 waves of enemies and it becomes a frustrating mess than a fun side mission that tests your ability to abuse the game mechanics to win. And that is if you don't get caught in bad camera angles.
The DLCs are all crap. You've got screwball missions that are repurposed taskmaster missions but worse. You got to do these millenial stereotype selfie button mashing to earn points in the middle of the mission. The story was terrible and short for the DLCs that it would have been better to have just combined all the story DLCs into one and skipped out on the side missions because they are the same side missions from the main game but made worse. The few good side missions of the DLCs is the objects finding one because it gets you away from the grindy combat and gives you some story details. Buy the game if you want but avoid the DLCs because they're frustratingly bad.

Web of Shadows has really great aspects, but it can get rather repetitive if your doing all the side missions and such, all the effort was only able to go into the gameplay and symbiotic aesthetics of the game, so the actual Story is pretty lacking in the writing department, cool shit happens, but it kind of "just happens"
It didn't have the production values to impress people only in it for the graphics and cutscenes, so only the people who can appreciate the depth of the game play or the more obscure aspects of Spider-man as a franchise ended up liking the game, aka people who know their shit.

Oh it gets even worse, I stopped Watching the Nostalgia critic years ago like any sane person would have, and then the other day for like a month I heard his videos coming from my one of brothers room constantly, and my other brother had been playing Undertale non stop, and I tried getting him to play Yakuza 0 but it was "too slow" for him and he refused to pay attention to the story until he got bored and stopped playing, before even getting to the first real fight in the game.
One only plays AAA games and the other has only been playing Indie shit, and the worse part is that i'm the youngest, and a Sonic fan so I can't go around saying they have shit taste.
