That's bullshit on both counts. Characters are 99.9% good or bad and no surprisingly statements. At all. If anything the "villain" is vindicated more than once during the game. Id say it got bad around the 50-65% completion mark for me, the missions and things to do in the open world aren't too bad but not amazing either and it can get pretty repetitive, the worst part as I said is how the story is shown to you ( you get kidnapped at some points during completion of the smaller northern zone by small squads of hunters with tranquilizing ammo and you cant do anything to stop or ellude them ) and these events where you are caught by the cult to advance the storyline aren't very inspired or interesting, they keep on laying dialogue that isn't very interesting or entairtaining (Far cry 3 was actually way better in that department like with Vas at least), the worst part is how they dumbed down the game so much from far cry 2 (you can see a comparision of the mechanics between games) and the guns feel a lot less good than far cry 1 to 3 (maybe even 4).
I'd say it's mostly my opinion that it gets bad (because I think the game gets pretty shallow and that might be my fatigue with the series ) and some objective points but I wasn't impressed with the game at all.

As someone who both owns and hunts with a crossbow and who has thrown around circular saw blades like oversized throwing stars for fun, let me just say that the flight ballistics on this thing would be godawful. Within three feet of the bow, it would begin curving wildly off to one side or the other and either up or down. You'd miss your target by a mile at anything but point blank range, at which point, a fucking shotgun would do more damage.
There is literally no way to make a circular saw blade fly true, either. The reason arrows or bolts have fletchings is in order to get them to fly relatively straight–and even then there's rise, fall, and shifting from wind.

Far Cry 2 is a piece of trash for anyone who doesn't want to waste their precious time. I can't understand why games do this. It doesn't make it more "realistic". We are saving the game anyway and this isn't Pathologic where you have a real struggle staying alive and working through the game and the sickness. You jam needles in your arm mid-gunfight walking backwards. It's not about realism. It's about anachronistic game design.

This, honestly. Doom had this figured out ages ago; checkpoint at level start with save anytime. You can challenge yourself by only using level checkpoints or you can savescum if you are doing poorly. It's especially helpful when you take custom maps into account.
