Them being different doesn't disqualify them from a comparison. It's like saying that you can't compare Mario and Spyro because Spyro is mainly horizontal whereas Mario is mainly vertical.

And if you want a more apt comparison, like I said, Odyssey came out a month later and had probably the most interesting moveset I've ever seen in a 3D platformer. I have many problems with Odyssey but it stood out in some aspects, unlike Hat in Time.

I played Yooka Laylee after the huge patch and honestly do not hate it. Sure it's not as good as Banjo Kazooie 2 but was far better then I assumed it would be based on all the bad press.

Oh, the only minor issue I had with Hat in Time was due to my CPU being overtaxed during load screens which worried me from time to time because it lead to a few crashes on a rare occasion. Gameplay wise it was a comfy 3D platformer.

Not absolute shit, but a far cry from the collectathons they are channeling. It is made by cum-gargling commies, if that sours your view of it. They removed the boy P2 concept for a negress because progressivism

The controls, movement, and physics just add up to an uncanny valley. It's almost good, but just not quite.

Maybe the devs can learn and fine tune the engine if they do want to make a sequel, though I doubt they would make one anytime soon.

There's a slot machine that gives you cosmetic items for tokens. From what I understand there are not enough tokens in the base game to get everything, but you can earn them by playing mods, which may have been a design decision to encourage you to check out mods.

I don't really care if they are literally communist soyboys. It's a good game. It's cute, and it's not telling me to kill myself for being a fucking white male. Whatever.

I only have three complaints about the game, mainly that it's just too short. Which is practically an upside.

Second being that I wish the different hats got more use. Maybe it's just me but I mainly used the dash hat since the others only really had situational use. Like the time slow one I don't really see the point of aside from reminding me of Heartless mode from Kingdom Hearts. If they all came with a good movement badge it would've been a lot better, like the ice hat could've let you roll as a snow ball, dweller give you a little platform when you activate it, so on.

And the double jump being available right away. I'd rather they had made a more precise and controllable momentum system over a double jump but that might just be because I think double jumps make platformers too easy.

Still though, it's fucking amazingly solid.

I found it more frustrating, than anything. The actual layout of the cruise ship is not good, the first act takes way too long, the line guide in the second act is iffy as hell, and the third act is just boring. The fact there was no end boss was incredibly disappointing, as well.

More painful considering buttons are assigned to the most stupid functions, namely a "quick hat wheel" that is quite unresponsive and a "look up" button that does jack shit, snap camera bound to a bumper when it would normally be bound to a thumbstick and the other thumbstick completely unused, you can change a few things in the controller configuration but using attack and hook on the same button was stupid.

The workshop is designed to lock player-created content to Steam, it's one of Gabe's sneakiest happy merchant plots. It's designed to be easy to upload but hard to download if you're not using the Steam version, so that modders will just upload to the workshop because it's easy and leave it at that, inadvertently making Steam-exclusive content.

I've been playing Super Mario Bros. I was stuck on world 5 until yesterday. It's a fun game, but I don't like how inconsistent the hitboxes feel. For example, yesterday I was on the staircase at the end of a level at one block higher than a koopa. Somehow, the turtle hit me and I died there. Another time, I jumped at the same time as a hammer brother, and the two sprites were inside one another. However, I took no damage at the hammer brother died. Strange indeed.

Another game I've been playing is Gal Metal: World Tour Edition. It's a metal rhythm game with cute girls, so I had to play it. I like it a lot, but I think I need to adjust my joycon sensitivity as sometimes that left joycon will think I swung it twice when I only swung it once.

Oh, I've also been playing Puyo Puyo Tetris since I could get it for free. I'm not very good at Puyo Puyo, and the levels in adventure mode where you have to play it have been giving me a hard time. I want to get better, though.

First, I will have to get a base shape modeled, for starters, I exported all those three pieces together but they are meant to be separate, not only that, the model seems to be sliced all over the place, not one mesh has all their faces welded.
