>ARMS
On the basic level the game boils down into punching beats grabs, grabs beats blocking and blocking beats punching, but since you have two arms the game can be pretty wild in terms of setup, knowing arms and character setup, weight difference, what can block or deflect an arm, left hand vs right hand, etc. It was actually interesting but I personally felt some of the arms' attributes were retarded and charging your arms, few of the stages are notoriously bad.
In the early days of ARMS it was poorly balanced, with the idea of whiffing fast punches builds up your super/rush meter extremely fast and supers can retract your punches instantly, so players would as soon as their super was up, throw a grab, if it hits, keep grabbing, until the opposing player throws a punch to cancel out the grab, the player with the super would retract his arms back by pressing super, but all these issues were addressed. Ribbon Girl spamming light and fast arms to stay in the air was also complete cancer as you had no real way to deal with airborne enemies, despite jumping should be more punishable as you cannot block.
The game has an interesting learning curve as motion controls are less comfortable to the usual fighting game player but provide more control over your punches.
Decent game to learn and have fun playing but not a game I would spend years mastering.
