Literally go left the moment you leave fortuna and grind along the long pipe behind the building back and forth until you hit the cap of 30k points, rinse repeat. Easily done with the starter board.

I am liking the new mining minigame, and as usual the new frame's drop rate is abysmal despite most components being "uncommon", missions are OK but I can't understand how the fuck enemies detect me when they can't even see me up close in other missions.

Is it me or does thew loading screen give off a X-men vibe? Garuda is Wolverine, Excalibur is Silver Surfer, Nef is Galactus.

Mined and fished for about an hour. Verdict is to not do it unless you have both resource boost and drop chance boost active. Cave fish don't seem to spawn worth a damn; only got a few for each cave.

Is Garuda any good? Seems squishy and her abilities seem to have lengthy cast time. "Good for simulacrum, bad for actual gameplay" type deal.

Who is the gayest frame?

Garuda feels like there's a good frame buried under there but it needs more Pablo added in.

Here's my thoughts on fortuna:

It's pretty shit.

Literally just a reskinned PoE with very slightly improved mining, bonus rewards on the bounties and slightly nicer for farming the rewards since there's only 1 rare per bounty.

I also do like the skateboard but pretty much everything else is just more of the same. With the daily standing limit I literally do 2 bounties and I'm maxed out (mr 8) which makes grinding more than about half an hour a day, including time for maxing vent kids completely worthless. Considering this was the only major content update for the entire year I expected a bit more but maybe that was just a mistake on my part. The bosses are still the exact same wait for the glowy spot to appear then shoot boredom and there's still absolutely no challenge to the game beyond getting insta killed in hign lvl sorties if you're not careful on your abilities.

Also makes me wonder if every update after this will just add another open world copy paste with the exact same mechanics and systems.

Here's my thoughts:

It's pretty amazing.

It did everything right what POE did wrong.

Making archwing infinite and mining not soul-wrenching retroactively made POE much better too.

Area itself is beautiful and varied - you have overworld snowstorm, colorful noctilucent caves and classic dimly lit corpus strongholds.

It's interesting to explore, cool to look at and fun to play in, everything that POE wasn't.

Hub itself is much better too - looks absolutely amazing, gives me cyberpunk feel that CDPR's abortion won't and it's much easier and more fun to navigate than cetus.

It's like they've taken everything I hated about POE and fixed it.

I love it a lot.

Also people bitching about daily caps don't make sense to me, there are no fucking daily caps.

Also big spiders (not giant ones) appear on highest level bounties and are absolute blast to fight against.

as far as re-skined PoE the map isn't a flat brown turd with sprinkles there are bases to capture and tons of monuments and testing rigs that add flavor. Not to mention they re-worked the entire corpus. Not to mention all the bosses that were just prototypes like the Zanuka and Jakal show up if your GTA stas are too high.

It's Plains of Venus.

Exact same shit as PoE, same organization, same vendors, same systems, same fucking bounties everyone was so sick of they were leeching through where you snipe dropships for half an hour, same grinds. The only new additions are floofs and skateboards. The floofs have been nerfed into literal drooling retard difficulty (use sleep arrow, press X, perfect capture even of bolarola every time no matter where you hit them, and even if you miss). Skateboards were just shit out unfinished and now have little reason to exist.

On top of that, skywing has been made way worse than it was in PoE and now controls as badly as it does in archwing missions. Fishing is way worse than it was in PoE as you can just spam-fish and catch every fish in Venus with no bait and the same spear and most players already have dozens of the "ultra rare" orokin fish. Mining is way worse than it was in PoE and just rains gems on you even if you fuck up the minigame and no matter what color vein you mine.

Even the ultracasual are getting bored and complaining about time gating since there's nothing to do but wait to get the thyst recipe to build garuda which is gated by tier 4 syndicate standing that only MR26s hit today.

What a fucking disaster. What were they working on for a year? It's a reskin.

Why would I run relics that don't have the potential to drop something I haven't built? Unless I'm just farming ducats. If I farm for items solely to trade for other players items, that's a whole extra step that sucks up a lot of time. What I liked about PoE bounties is that you could speed up escort missions, which made a good portion of them, using Nova's portals. It was kind of fun and skillful to do it efficiently.

As far as I've seen, there are no more escort missions, so it's just that much more standing around waiting on timers.

Those are the worst designed bosses and piss me off to no end. If not, I think having vulnerable parts like that to be an okay mechanic, though clearly played out and showing the laziness and lack of creativity from DE.

Core boss design rules that DE should (imo) follow

There are issues with both systems, neither is perfect.

Of course you should trade unwanted items but if you want to spend the least amount of time doing relic/key missions with the goal of acquiring the sought after parts, running the missions that have your items on the loot table is clearly the superior option. If you're unlucky with the drops you'll get plenty of trade material with which you can then buy the parts with.

Start with Steel Meridian and work left until you have completed Suda.(Steel Meridain mods are worth the most and the left side has the best weapons. get the Hek syndicate mod FIRST. the left side mods and weapons are generally much better than the others.

As far as what to aim for, Shotguns are some of the best weapons in the game with the least mods and Rhino is the easiest Warframe he drops from forsa, Venus.

The consequences of that is part of what I put in the negative and positives.

Sharing keys was never done with randoms and most people just hosted without caring for a return, making groups form faster. You could also do shared runs with clan members.

But the way that the RNG improves by sharing relics makes it almost a requirement to do shared runs, or you're fucking yourself over. But this makes it take longer to find groups.

Problem is the out of control damage scaling. A bullet sponge boss would die instantly to a Chroma + Harrow + Volt combo stacking crit mods on their crit weapons; but it would take ages for an unoptimized squad. Or to put it another way: the players are too strong and the game's systems don't allow for enemies to be strong enough to beat the players. If you make enemies fuck shields up, then players are only going to use high armor/health frames. If enemies all start doing corrosive/piercing damage to fuck with armor, players are going to start using shields. Not only that, but players have access to too many invulnerability/super high mitigation skills, so any difficult content needs to be designed with the use of those skills in mind. Which fucks over squishy frames with little to no defensive mechanics. You can have a 6k armor Chroma with Adaptation just laugh at the idea of taking damage against lvl 150 enemies, but if content is designed with near invincible Chroma in mind, it means that a lot of frames become worthless, which is awful game design.

I think fixing their broken system would only be possible by 1) removing all damage, shields, health, and armor mods, and 2) removing corrupted mods for warframes (Blind Rage, Overextended, etc). So a weapon's mod options would be crit/crit dmg, reload speed, punch through, ammo mutation, fire rate, zoom, aim gliding, etc, etc. Of course, this would also mean rebalancing a lot of abilities and weapons, but I think it's the only way DE could start making interesting bosses.

They can do like WoW where the high-end boss fights like (all pre-nerf) Yogg +0 25, H Firefighter, H Lich King 25 were more about choreography than damage. Especially Firefighter, which was nerfed completely to shit before anyone outside of world top 50 even got to experience it which is a shame as it was the best boss fight they ever designed.

Blizzard balanced those fights assuming you brought the absolute best gear and group composition in the game and would be using every bit of cheese available to you. The problem this caused in WoW was limiting composition meaning you had to maintain raid-geared alts if you wanted to play with the big kids and that was some poopsocker 80 hours a 7 day week shit. Saryn's a good start. Easy to farm from Kela, pairs well with an Ignis Wraith you can generally just get from someone for free or 1-2p, can blow up a large area. You'll need range mods, though. Beginners usually have shit mods. There's an unvaulting right now which is easy plat for a beginner and can be used to buy the mods to get up and running fast.

I'd focus on just clearing the starmap and quests before thinking about building for AoE spam, then. But, the big opportunity for you is that an unvaulting just started and people are still buying things for way more than makes any sense (this will quickly decline to a more sane level over the next day or two), so I'd put that on hold if possible and farm up some relics from Venus bounties, do radshares, and sell the results on warframe.market. The rare parts of sets like Nova Prime will probably be stable at around 50-60p and you'll be picking up a lot of useful shit for later. Akvasto Prime is selling well but the price will probably collapse faster as it's fully contained in the bounty everyone's running for rep anyway, and it's a shit weapon that they'll realize is shit later today.

I made almost 2k plat today selling those set parts, although the peak of the feeding frenzy has now passed.

It's pretty fucked. Try strafing to the left while moving and watch as it has some sort of aggressive dampening that causes it to strafe back to the right after you've stopped strafing left. Aiming also triggers a lerp to your view vector even if you aren't accelerating. It rotates your view when diving/climbing off-center in crazy ways - rapidly move the mouse up and down while accelerating and then level out and see what angle you have to the horizon, then try this in Descent 1 for comparison. Try turning 180 degrees while sprinting and watch as you accelerate at a 45 degree angle for about 10 seconds. It interacts poorly with 'toggle strafe' and sends people flying into walls when they try to mount up from a standstill. And there's no dedicated dismount key, it's angle-based despite flying through fairly vertical segments of cave where you have little idea as to your view angle being something it's supposedly designed to do.

It could be worse, of course. Skywing fixed some of the cancer in archwing's movement system (that they almost reverted). Like with archwing proper, moving only back and forwards with W and S while in strafe accelerates you in random directions as it's trying to follow the animations instead of your inputs.

It's a hilarious mess of bad design that I'd not expect to see come out of a demo day thread and there it all is in a major commercial game.

Anyway, you'll want something with a higher rate of fire. Bows are good and their damage output can be broken easily, but rate of fire will be your friend during your first hours of play. You could repeat missions to get materials (not sure how that works with the story mode, i played that shit back in 2013) but It should be doable regarding of what you started with; I know they ran different starting sets over time to test balance on the early game.

Get either a tank or stealth frame, Loki and Rhino come to mind and should be easy to get for a beginner (unless they changed drop locations).

I do the circuit two or three times and usually come out with 3-4 toroids per run.
