Think of a game that you like, with a nice soundtrack. If you can turn only the music off, but keep the sound effects, try doing so.

No idea. Right now I'm playing some of Mega Man 11, and I've gotta say it's weird. Especially since without the music, I find the game's way easier to see the patterns and react to shit.

That's when I realized how shit MEMEGAME really was. (iirc if you do the killing everyone route you get nothing but a heardbeat sound or something outside of battles) I started to think Donkey Kong Country's gameplay was lacking after playing it without the soundtrack too.

Max Payne 1 without the soundtrack makes it look like a Bruce Lee movie, I mean most of his films have little to no music whenever he fights.
