1. Ys Felghana is awesome, but you need a controller, recommend it on psp/vita.
2. Ys is not like Zelda, Zelda is full of boring puzzles, it's a puzzle game with a paper thin story, the fighting/action is very secondary and just for fluff.
3. Ys on the other hand is an awesome action rpg, the stories are better fleshed out than Zelda, and the puzzles are kept to a minimum and they don't detract from the real meat and bones of the game, the gameplay is actually fun. Zelda gameplay is almost never fun.
