2016 is great, it had issues because of square enix but once they went indie they dropped the episodic shit and removed denuvo and it has the best level in the franchise no question.

Not looked into 2 much but it has a multiplayer mode which intrigues me

I heard Hitman 2, the second Hitman 2, has all the levels from Hitman 1, the second Hitman 1. Multiplayer in a Hitman game sounds like a giant shit, but are the later Hitman games good enough to warrant getting Hitman 2, the second Hitman 2?

Blood Money is the best in terms of replayability. Most of the levels aren't so big and are the right enough size to go into and memorize certain events that happen here and then. Plus the soundtrack is fucking great. I couldn't stand 2016 but I will say it looked great.

blood money and contracts are probably the best objectively, with blood money being my personal favorite solely because of the nawlins level and getting to shoot up your own funeral at the end

They really went full-Quentin Tarantino on Absolution, they admitted it and got the same damn actors to voice the game, they couldn't just leave that shit in Kane and Lynch.

Is it worth playing Silent Assassin? I tried playing Agent 47, but the boring level design just kills it for me. It's a real shame, because Agent 47 has the best gameplay of the series.

I prefer SA to BM, but Contracts is my favorite. SA has:

- Best voice acting - I like the international feel especially.

- Best missions by a mile!

- Nice story though it doesn't affect the game much.

- However, the absolutely unforgiving stealth mechanics kind of ruin it.

And THIS is where Contracts shines over SA. The stealth system is a perfect balance between SA and BM. It also has some great missions (Rendezvous in Rotterdam!). BM, on the other hand…well, let's just say I was not impressed. The level design especially sucks to me.

2016 has the one major poroblem of the scnavision. The game by itself is made for you to use it, so without it you'r elost in the middle of the level, with no indication what you can even interact with. With sucks, since the levels themselves are really well made and big, woith alots of opportunities.

Blood Money's opera level (curtains down) is one of my favorite levels in the series, there's more than 3 ways to get a silent assassin rating on it, most of the other levels had only 1 or 2 ways

I'd say Silent Assassin is very much worth a playthrough. Stealth is a bit tough in it, but if you can get past the first 4-5 missions with Silent Assassin ratings (very possible), you can go in guns blazing the rest of the game without feeling bad. The level design is great BTW; from a looks standpoint it's not as impressive as it used to be but aesthetically it's really sophisticated. Only Contracts comes close.

This is true. If you listen to it, it's back when Kyd was still sort of in his best demoscene mode, it compares somewhat well with his Sega Genesis OSTs but obviously taking advantage of digital music rather than FM tracks.

Also the ominous chanting music of Blood Money is a remix of a song he did in the 80s/90s.

Ha! That's actually my LEAST favorite probably. You can't silently kill the guy watching the performance unless by accident. And for that, you have to go through all the trouble to kill the singer and then perfectly time the chandelier - if you've even figured it out. IMO, the targets should stay SEPARATE - the assasinations of them should not be connected.

you do know you could blow up the stage lights instead of the chandelier right? or that you could snipe him while he cries over his friend's corpse?

as for the singer, you can snipe him when the actor "shoots" him, and it would appear as an accident, or replace the fake gun with a real one, or become the actor himself

the level is brilliant and has creative opportunities imo

I love Contracts' film noir feel with 47's monologues before every mission reflecting on the path his life taken him. I love how the soundtrack amplifies the intensity of every contract and has this dark and almost scary atmosphere that no other Hitman game has come close too, since. SA is the perfect summer blockbuster movie. Contracts looks like something David Fincher would have made.

I've played Hitman™©® and it was good, possibly the best in the series so far, but I've played only the training chapter, Paris was stuttering too much so I will just play it in like ten years when I buy a new pc.
