NO, it's far far worse. DO NOT fall for the PSP nub meme, it does not fit the 3DS. You're slotting a long rectangle hole over a square peg. It doesn't fit snugly, it fucking rocks back and forth and slides around on the thing.
Replace the 3DS nub with a slim thinkpad nub. They make half-height nubs for the X1 carbon thinkpads that are literal actual perfect fits, to the fucking millimeter.

Oh those things are actually fine, nice and smooth to use, only real issue is they're vulnerable to oil slick so you need to make sure you play with clean hands and wipe the system down every week. People are replacing the ACTUALLY atrocious little shit nub on the N3DS that's awful to use under all situations and was honestly a fucking insult to everybody who wanted a second fucking stick.
The O3DS with the CPP was a far better platform, both because it had two real sticks and because the bigger grip alleviated some of the 3DS platform's awful ergonomics and made it nicer to hold. I'm still pissed off that Nintendo never kept CPP support in the N3DS because of their little shit fuck nub.
