So I pirated this and I have to say I'm conflicted.

I noticed that time has an effect and the same quest can have slightly different outcomes (trailing Tartucio being the best example; if you go immediately, you might run into him and a former teammate arguing, if you take your time the trail will be cold.)

The biggest gripe is definitely the companions.

Amiri (barbarian) is tiresome with how childishly she behaves. Someoen like her should be Dead 10 times by now. Also that sword of hers….

Valerie (fighter) has a stick up her butthole and hates beauty in all forms, and threatens to kill any man who compliments her looks.

Then that cuck ork and unkillable halfling.

But not all is shit.

ATM I'm just done killing the staglord. Tell me, is it wise to kill off companions for good. I heard you need to fill positions in your kingdom and I'm worried I won't have people to fill the slots with.

If I'm to go off of the OP's statements, the way to make the characters uncucked is to explore different character paths to their logical conclusion; ie the character either breaks from their behaviour or you embrace it to a positive effect.

>Barbarians childishness is challenged over a story arc, with the burdensome reality bearing down on them

>You can either support their youthful nature, encouraging them to keep their spirit

>Or you can help them grow up and become responsible while still retaining some of who they are

>Or you can make them grow up and see them become a new, better person as a result of it

Etc.

This is, like, visual novel 101 and RPG's should be following it by now.
