Korean and Chinese localizations are actually more important to Falcom, and thus given a priority over English localization.

I played and liked Trails in the Sky 1, but Cold Steel just didn't do it for me. Mechanically the game is fine, but I didn't like the high school/military academy setting/tone - which ruined it for me the same way that Valkyria Chronicles 2 was ruined. The pacing was also far too formulaic, starting with slice of life, then dungeon crawl, then rpg mission to boss fight and starting the whole cycle over again like each one being their own episodes of an ongoing anime.

Pirated Cold Steel for the PS Vita, but I haven't even bothered starting it up yet. I'd rather just go back and play the rest of the Trails in the Sky arc, but it's been so long since I played the first one that I think I'd just end up being lost.

Because it was a rental on the PSP way back in the day, and TiTS2 didn't yet have an english patch on the ISO, and TiTS3 wasn't even close to release.

And again, it's been so long since I played the first one that I really don't think I could get back into it without completely replaying the first game to get back up to speed on what's going on - and there's too much shit on my backlog already.
