Shintoism is Japan's ethnic religion. Christianity and Islam (offshoots of Judaism) are not ethnic religions, but Judaism is still considered the Jews' ethnic religion. A lot of Europe's "pagan" religion are actually the ethnic religions of native Europeans. Sadly overthrown by Abrahamic religions because back then, the Tanakh/Bible commanded followers to destroy the "idols" of other religions.

Why does it matter if a religion is ethnocentric or not? Believe it or not, a country/culture that celebrates its own ethnic religions inspires great morale and nationalism amongst its people. This is why Japan, India, China, Vietnam, and Israel are, imo, religiously better off than most nations in the world. Most other places just worship a foreigner's religion like Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism instead of their own rich histories.
That said, instead of games with Christianity, I'm interested in playing games with European ethnic religions. Those from the pre-Christian days of Europe. Such as
>Ancient Balkan religions (Dacians, Thracians, and Illyrians)
>Armenian paganism (Armenians)
>Baltic religions of Lithuania, Latvia and Western Russia
>Basque religion (Basques of the western end of the Pyrenees)
>Celtic polytheism (Ancient Britons, Cumbrians, Gaels, Manx, Picts, Gallaeci of what is now Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man and Galicia)
>Etruscan religion (Etruscans of the central Italian peninsula)
>Finnic religion (Ludes, Olonets, Veps, Izhorians, Votes, Livonians, Võros and Setos of eastern Scandinavia and the eastern Baltic)
>Mari paganism (Mari people)
>Germanic paganism (pre-Christian Germanic peoples)
>Ancient Greek religion (pre-Christian Greeks)
>Ancient Georgian religion (pre-Christian Colchis of the southern Caucasus)
>Norse religion (pre-Christian Norsemen and Vikings of Scandinavia)
>Ancient Roman religion (pre-Christian Romans)
>Sami religion (Sami people of Scandinavia)
>Slavic paganism (Slavs of Eastern and Southeastern Europe)
>Vainakh (Nakhs of the Caucasus)
Greek and Norse mythologies are commonly referenced in games, but other European religions are a little rarer to find vidya examples of. Outside of SMT games anyways.
