I stopped playing battlefield a long time ago, bc2 was my last bought bf and I didn't even like that. I played bf3 on my friends account when I was in his place and I disliked it. Never touched a bf game again after that.
Now to why I thought hardline sounds good… I like the police vs criminals theme. And that's it. EA is on my boycott list, I don't buy anything from them and I try to avoid their news. When I heard about bf:h I thought it would be a pvp version of payday.

I've played all BF games. Loved BC2, BF3 and BF4. When Hardline came out I tried it and almost puked. That casual shit is lame. Then I heard BF1 was coming. I got excited because I was burnt-out on 4 at the time. Started playing BF1 and it felt like Hardline meets SWBF. Pure garbage. I was so disgusted by it! It felt nothing like previous BF games. I lasted 4 days before I uninstalled it and went back to BF4, which is where I remain. __Then I hear BFV is coming. I get excited. Then watch the trailer and complete horror. DICE has been taken over by jews, I said. Sure enough, the whole shit show unfolded right before our eyes. The devs were saying things like they didn't understand why fans like Bad Company. SMH. They called us "uneducated" and made other insults because we refused their jewy SJW nonsense. I will not buy V. I will remain at 4 until DICE makes another proper Battlefield game. If the next BF game is also shit then its over. Hopefully, they go bankrupt and have to shut their company doors. Its sad. It really is. The only way they will be able to redeem themselves is to release a new Battlefield next year built with the BF4 format in a modern or Vietnam setting. I predict we will get Bad Company 3 with women. this is more of a problem with online games as a whole now, anyone who has people they want to play with just stacks up in a discord server or something similar. On top of that there are less and less games using servers so you just get matched with randos and you have no incentive to talk to them due to the transient nature of matchmaking. You're more likely to have some kid calling you a retard nigger than anything funny or useful because you won't run into these players again on larger games

I have about 500 hours in the first game but haven't played it for a few years, I was hoping Sandstorm would be a bit different but it's basically the same game with better graphics. I guess I don't really enjoy it anymore, nowadays I only like FPS games with a competitive aspect. I'm waiting to see how Sandstorm's 5v5 ranked gamemode will be but I don't see it stealing me away from R6 Siege any time soon. Also I've been playing Rising Storm 2 a lot recently since they added campaign mode, it's something I really wish Insurgency had because it adds a competitive stake to each match.

I miss old battlefield games, Used to love spawning on a battleship with everyone, scrambling to get into vehicles (spawned on the map) and all rushing off to shore in one massive unit to cap the objective. The grand scheme and scope of the battles were exhilarating.
This series has become so arcady and on rails now. Really dumbed down for consoles. BF3 was when I dropped the series and EA completely. I'm my opinion BFBC2 was the last great game in the series.
I despise people who still support these companies, because it continues to push them further and further away from the version of the game I used to enjoy.

The only "microtransaction" of any weigh in BFBC2 was the Specact Kit, and ONLY because it contained a new version of the MG3 (which is already in the base game and not locked behind any paywalls) which shoots MARGINALLY faster than the standard one.
