Why would you still be wanting to use UMDs if you're CFWing it? Not like a decent memory stick is all that expensive these days, and you'll save battery life not having to load from disc.

You can still play UMDs but they're determined to fail and wear out on both ends of the hardware and disc, I recommend PSP-2000 for the TV OUT unless you're very nostalgic for the PSP-1000 because I am.

Yes you can and the latest official firmware is hackable anyway.

Don't see why you would want to use UMDs after getting CFW but it's possible.

UMDs load slower, make a ton of noise and waste battery. Yes you can run them, but why would you?

I still love them though

They were custom disks made specifically for the PSP, yes.

kek just look up how to hack your PSP. It's piss easy. All you have to do once you hacked it is put the downloaded files in a folder in your PSP and that's it.

Also, they're .iso files, not rom files.

No wait, the 1000? I don't know what PSP I have, but it runs UMDs just fine. I even have PSP games on the memory stick that I run, as well as emulators.

No, they just go in the ISO folder if memory serves, and the system plays them like they were legit digital versions (even for games that didn't have a digital release). Note that PS1 eboots and emulators have to go in GAME, I believe, despite appearing in the XMB all the same.
