Me too. It had all the systemic interplay that made each Metal Gear Solid so enjoyable and replayable. The main Metal Gear fanbase's dismissal of Survive makes me think most of them didn't even really play MGS, didn't explore the limits of the implemented systems by playing with combinations of items, weapons, actions and so on with the AIs and objects/environments, or do anything other than run from cutscene to cutscene if they even played the game at all. How else could you dismiss such a game so carelessly? I enjoyed it. All I missed was the comfort of knowing I was in for a batshit insane ride story-wise, along with some pretty neat cinematography and action choreography – each unessential to a video game but dire to one who see's MGS as just story/movie i.e. a kojimadrone.
