Thing is, I care so little it doesn't matter if this is true or not. I didn't look into blacklist at all, didn't watch a single trailer or gameplay video. I only remembered that splinter cell was a thing because I randomly found this thread. I couldn't care less about new splinter cell games.

It's MGSV with more tacticool shit, more shit in general and a complete storyline, but the gameplay is worse. It's fun if you enjoy infiltrating compounds and waging guerilla warfare.

Coop? As in is it it's own storyline/mission structure, the same as the single player or is it locked to like co-op only matches?

And speaking of MGSV, is Survive any worth it for coop or should I keep to Orcs must die?

It's basically an open world game where missions aren't instanced like in MGSV, but in world, and you can play through all of that with three other people doesn't work on the pirated version

Survive, on the other hand is just more of MGSV gameplay, also has a complete storyline, but you can only play special tower defense missions in co-op.
