I swear on my life I was fine this morning, but now I feel like I'm being strangled.
I need more games to play other than bad jrpgs and handheld games I've played a million times.
I was playing Hyrule Warriors on the 3ds earlier, it's comfy enough.
Please send help, I am dying.
thanks doc

I usually play tycoon/management or golf games when I'm sick. Slow stuff that doesn't require a lot of thinking, at least not fast thinking.

You can run it on a PSP, I think.

Rune Factory is a good game to play while sick. Even better if you have the physical versions for the handhelds. Emulator is fine, too.

I just play something I know I can relax with, and that's basically any game you can play while listening to a podcast. Dark Souls, Diablo, Minecraft, F-Zero GX,etc.

Ever Oasis is fun for 3DS. It's mostly about questing to town build and get more residents. Combat is simple like Crystal Chronicles and Mana. Has neat puzzles too. Also Esna loves you and wants you to get better.

Take your pick. I assume you're going to be in bed right? Instead of sitting up to play on a PC or console, it's best to lie down on your back as you play games. Any portable gaming device is best suited for sick days.

I usually watch something when I'm sick. If I'm sick enough to stay at home then I'm probably too sick to move my fingers.
Old RPGs and Oblivion no, not Skyrim. Fuck off to chess club, Todd are still super comfy for me, but that's rather subjective.
If those don't work for you, then try other games with a slow pace.

If you have a handheld SNES emulator I suggest Lufia and the Fortress of Doom for a vanilla JRPG experience not too stressful.

When I was a kid and would stay home sick from school, I would lay on the couch in the living room and play Dragon Warrior on NES. My mom also burned a lot of pine-scented oils and I somehow tie that and Dragon Warrior together. So, whenever I am feeling flu-like, I fire up my DW ROM, burn some woodsy incense, and make myself a bowl of chicken noodle soup because my mom would make that, too.

Those anons were goons from SA. They can't into Japanese action RPG. That said, the game is more about getting residents to grow your town and making them happy than the combat. Though it does get repetitive with needing rare material drops towards the end.
Combat isn't that complex and slow enough to enjoy. You don't even need the circle pad pro. Give it a pirate. Physical copies are scarce since game is out of print.

I rarely seem to get sick any more. That said I will generally either emulate SNES games or play Doom (If I'm well enough to sit up). Both are very comfy for me.

one time I had either a really bad cold or the flu for over a week. my sinuses were totally clogged, my chest was on fire, i was sleeping 15 hours a day and I was going through a bottle of cough syrup every other day. it was also raining all week.
while awake, i was playing Shadow of Chernobyl and was totally immersed in my altered state. whenever I start feeling sick, I think of that week. was the comfiest gaming session of my life, despite being sicker than ever.

for me personally, Ace Combat 4/5/0 is the comfiest goddamn thing in the universe
one time I had an insanely bad flu, lasted three fucking weeks, all I did (all I could do, really) was play Ace Combat and watch Patlabor
Patlabor gave me fever dreams (there was one particularly bad one where I dreamed that I was an AV-98 (not piloting one, I was the robot), ended up trashing my room in my sleep before waking up face-down on the cold floor covered in puke and diarrhea)
I've honestly forgotten what I was going to say, remembering that absolute fucking misery I lived through makes me want to die
