The general premise of a post-grey-goo aborted apocalypse where robo dinosaurs evolved is nifty, and the gameplay has some solid core mechanics that ultimately it either mishandles or fails to fully flesh out. Other than that it's completely unremarkable aside from how terrible the story is and how completely unlikable Aloy is. They could have had something really special on their hands, but they pissed it away for a generic open-world and poz so thick it practically oozes out of the disk tray.

Well, nier stopped working for me a couple of hours in other downloads just crashed frequently even with the "fixes" and Nioh didn't even launch. I have a pretty standard setup with a nvidia card and no weird shit with ram so I just gave up. I'm glad I always pirate shit first, wasn't going to give money to denuvod vidya anyway. It's vid related. Rythmn game with 220 some songs and multiple charts from easy to ex-extreme. The base game is a free download that comes with two songs, so try that to see if it clicks with you. The songs and costumes come in two packs - Future Sound and Colorful Tone. Each contain a little over a hundred songs for less than thirty bucks, and all the costumes that go with them. If you liked the demo, get Future Sound. If you like Future Sound - get Colorful Tone. Don't bother with the DLC since they only add a handful of songs unless you really like what they have to offer.

It's a straight arcade port. No story, no real unlockables, no microtransactions. Just a high score ranking and range of charts from piss easy to EX-Extreme. US version is digital only. The music takes some getting used it, but it has a way of worming it's way into your head.

There is a fan-port of the Arcade game to the PC, but it's pretty janky. On the plus side, you can add your own songs and make your own charts - plus use the keyboard.

Tried Destiny 2 since it was released for free either this month or last:

- The shooting is alright, you get 3 weapon slots, none are dedicated to a pistol, some weapons/armors have cool effects/bonuses but they're rare.

- The class abilities are kinda lame, I've only played titan but they generally seem to lack a niche and the sub-classes don't really add much variety.

- Zones are pretty nice, they're fairly big and have lots of caves/dungeons.

- As a downside to all of that as far as I can tell there aren't really interesting places, the only "secrets" (which are marked by little icons on the map so aren't really secret) are hidden zone chests and "lost sector" caves that just have you fight a miniboss to get some crappy treasure.

- The characters/story predictably suck.

- As an MMO it completely fails since all you can do with other players is fight them or fight with them. Even if were inclined to chat by mic I doubt you'd form any lasting friendships with people.

- Really nice visuals.

Overall between pretty good weapon variety and gunplay, and a relatively good amount of enemy variety/behaviour it's half decent as an fps. It fails horribly as an MMO and at giving you a story/characters you give a shit about.

It is a bad thing, not in principal, but because Sega has released 4 Yakuza games already this gen (with remastered Ps3 ports of the other 3 on the way) - plus FotNS and project Judge, which all play the same with very minor variation.

They're going to burn out the market the way Tomb Raider did in the 5th gen. That it's lasted this long with good will is a testament to how good the formula is, but there's still only so far you can push things.

Horizon is an excellent backstory told to you through holograms. The current world is just 'an ancient evil awakens' and you do mmo quests.
