From reading and watching the nominal addicts complain, they removed Artifact Weapons, Tier Sets, and Legendaries, for Azerite Gear whose progressin is behind a grind worse than Artifact Power while every feature they shilled for the game, War Fronts and Island Expeditions, are pretty much brain-dead modes where you pretty much farm the same shit with even worse chances of rewards and constant repetitions. And the latest stream of damage control was content that was supposed to be on launch and recycling of the same shit from the last expansion.

It's pretty sad, the only ones playing are the people who invested 10+ years of their life and their mediocre "social circle" means they still play the game to socialize, even though it's shit.

Leveled my tauren warrior to 120. It was okay. Didn't particularly care much for or about Zandalar, though Volduun wasn't too bad; liked the Kul Tiras zones better in terms of atmosphere and aesthetics. Got off the train because it really just couldn't hold my attention against games I was playing at the time (Octopath Traveler and now MonHun). Don't have any real desire to login and play, even less when I think about all the grinding I'll have to do. We'll see if I feel any wanting to play in six months or not.

2 million is still twice as many as any other MMO has ever had. WoW is dying, but it's not even close to dead yet. The real question is whether Blizz decides to pull the plug soon or try to milk it for another 2 or 3 expansions until there really is nobody playing.

Really though the worst thing they did was remove artifacts, and completely stop character progression at level 100. There's literally no reason to level past 100 now, nothing you do changes because all the traits are passives.

Oh also they release druid and shaman as blatantly unfinished with promises to finish them months from now. A ton of specs also just don't work at all due to the stat squish so you have this weird nonsense of every class/spec feeling like complete shit to play because they lack the stats they were designed around.

Long story short, common gripes I've seen are

Classes get +-20% to damage. Some stats get +1000% effectiveness.

Some traits get -30% nerfs and some traits get a fucking +300% to damage. And this changes weekly. So today you have best in slot items and tomorrow your class deals 20% less damage and every single trait you picked was nerfed by 1/3.

Also let me explain one moment. There are 1 trait per spec on every item. So if item has 3 specks it will have 3 spec specific traits and one generic. 90% of spec specific traits are shit and no one uses them because generic traits are better.

On one hand it shows that they work on it, but on the other why the fuck they forcing people to play beta version of expansion? What they were doing all this time? Or its their new model "everything is beta version for next expansion, thanks for testing!".

Not exactly. You can farm m+ forever so it fucks over casuals who want to "fairly distribute all the loot or be kicked from the guild!!!". And it slightly fucks early raiders(because you cant trade item away in some situations) but whatever.

Essentially you had legendary and artifact weapons with shitload of traits and shit and balance was based on them. And than they removed all of it and kept classes basically as they were, just without all of these essential for balance parts. Just balance everything at later day, no one will notice!

Difficulty of everything is also all over the place. Trash mobs can deal more damage than bosses and by can I mean "often do". One boss might be "dont stand in fire and you can kill me" while other is 3 phase encounter with party wide damage, multiple one-hit-kill mechanics and generally high damage. And next boss might be "just kill the adds and you can kill me easily". In one dungeon you just dps the trash without looking at it and in other its multi phase encounters with one-hit-kill mechanics on every second trash mob.

This reminds me of the moment that made me realize that actiblizz didn't give a shit about its fanbase.

When diablo 3 was being announced they had done a special where if you pay for a year sub of wow you get D3 for free.

On one hand I want to disslike the idea but on the other it's not like it's unfitting seeing that Lovecraft did a similar thing with Outer Gods.

I'm actually liking BfA, but I've become a very casual player over the years. The alliance questinf zones are pretty great (haven't seen much of the Horde side of things yet, so far it's okay) and I like that they're focusing on the conflict Horde vs. Alliance again while having the other threats in the background, that always seems to work best.

I will absolutely say that every new feature they touted when it was announced fell totally flat. Island expeditions are lame, grinding azerite power is even worse than artifact power and the warfronts - while I love the concept of a WC3 skirmish from the viewpoint of a footsoldier - are a mindless rush that's pretty much impossible to lose and the fact that you get a guaranteed free epic is laughable.

Overall I think it's alright, but I've given up on the game going back to BC/Wrath levels of quality a long time ago, so whatever. I'm mostly still there for the roleplaying.
