I find the idea of a persistent battlefield where huge alliances can be formed and can take over entire sectors of space great.

That said it seems only browser based games tend to do that, and they are always terribly pay2win.

Are there any normal games that do that ? Kind of like planetside1-2 but strategic.

Are there any browser based strategy games that are decent enough to stick around with ? I want to be part of a big alliance and conquer tons of territories.

Semi-persistent world strategies work too. 1-2 day matches are fine for me.

You start at a new server and hope you get into a top alliance or its hundreds of "sister" alliances. Then you join some mega community where everyone teleports their city to and controls the whole server essentially. Thats all there is to it, every single one is the same really.

Supremacy 1914 is a nice one I play on and off. Kinda Pay2Win but the people who spend real money in game are pretty rare and tend to get ganged up on. At least it was like that last time I was playing.
