I was thinking sometime ago about F.E.A.R, and how no one actually plays it for the horror at all just like how no one really watches slasher movies for the horror. Then it hit me, F.E.A.R is slasher vidya. And now I want more slasher vidya, I know its a while until october comes around but fuck it, Post Slasher games. off the top of my head I can think of

It might be kind of a stretch, but I feel the brutality makes Hotline Miami part of this genre.

I never thought of crysis as a horror game though, I mean obviously FEAR isn't one either but its pretending to be one. Crysis does not even pretend its horror.
