I'll give you some pros and cons and explain them.
Pros:
>looks good
They're trying to ape Vanillaware games, and as far as I'm concerned they're doing pretty good job. Proportions being less extreme than in Dragon's Crown is a plus to me.
You still have girls with huge boobs and asses if you're into that kind of thing.
This point is what made me interested in it in the first place.
>real time gameplay
Most mobile game with this art style are turn-based slog fests, but this on is beat'em up. However simplistic it might be, I like beat'em ups.
>no microtransactions
As I already mentioned. Everything is earned through playing the game and there is no option to buy any packs, resources, currency etc.
>gear reflects on model
Every single piece of equipment you find is properly displayed on character when worn.
It gets weird when instead of helmets your character wears different wigs, but I assume it's a reminder of the original mobage form of the game.
>dress up
You can also wear appearance of any previously owned items as a skin, kinda like in Grim Dawn or DCUO.
>characters play differently
They all have different movesets and abilities, I imagine it being important when playing post-game content.
>you can play offline
There is no always-online or registration requirement, you just play it like regular offline game.
There is online mode where you run timed maps, and apparently pirates can play fine together with steam players, just like in EDF4.1.
Though there are plenty of people complaining about it on steam forums.
There are also a lot of cheaters, so if you get one, you'll get your hard map wiped in a second.
>stat autism
There are sets, affixes, crafting all that nonsense that I know some of you like.
I do.
>feminists hate it
Cons:
<simple and casual
It's not a hardcore game. It's simple mechanically and easy from challenge stand point. You can just button mash through story.
There is post game content that requires grinding for gear and making proper builds but then it almost feels like mmo.
If you want overtly complex combat mechanics and regular enemies raping your face through the ass try Fight'n'Rage instead.
<bad translation
Its english is even worse than mine.
<weird story
There seems to be a lot of attention given to the story, but it feels like a sequel or a spin off to another story I've never seen.
All characters know each other, they reference events and people never mentioned before, nothing is properly introduced.
Maybe there is some korean visual novel or comic books that is supposed to predate this, we will probably never know.
<limited OST
There are like 3 music tracks for the entire thing.
<game is sold in parts
While it's very cheap they still decided to cut 3 characters out and sell them separate as DLCs.
It's bullshit. The'd better be off just selling the complete game but twice as expensive.
<no rule34
