I've honestly felt kind of bad for Mercer. Got to sting a bit when you're getting kind of pigeonholed into being a budget version of a more popular voice. But, I suppose work is work, and if Baker's gotten too big to afford, its a service to be offered.

Some of it was. How much though is left in the air. I know that datamining discovered Yuri, Estelle, and Rita's second Mystic Artes had English voice work that went unused, and I know Baker's stated before he got called in for additional linework that Bamco never did anything with, but unlike, say, Symphonia Chronicles, where the playable cast is the same people, the addition of actual new characters into the mix actually changes shit up for skits and scenes. While some lines might remain the same, there's still characters addressing either Flynn or Patty when they weren't present in the 360 version.

I did find it odd that of all the sprite based mothership Tales games at the time, Destiny was the only one that didn't have a PSP version. Makes me think that the system wouldn't have run the PS2 Director's Cut as well as the earlier ones as a port. If so, maybe the Vita could have handled it better, and last year would have been a prime opportunity given it would have been the 20th anniversary of Destiny PS1 in Japan. That said, the PS2 ISO size is just below 4.5gb, and Bamco's known for being cheap, so maybe inability to fit it on a 4gb Vita cart or something kept it from happening. Both versions of the remake are still exclusive to the PS2. However, even if it did come out there on the Vita, I still doubt we'd have gotten it here. Not when Bamco doesn't like to bring portable Tales west.
>Innocence is for the PSP though that has a fan translation
Innocence was on the DS, not PSP.
>But I haven't heard people mention the game much so I don't know if it's just decent or unmemorable.
The factor of people not being able to play certain games in English until many years after they originally released (and thus would have been "in"), and not having an actual release here, tends to contribute to that. As for Innocence though, what I recall hearing most was that its dungeon design was kind of ass, and the guild quest system doesn't make it too import friendly on the gameplay end. Also unlike Hearts, wherein apparently both the DS original and Vita remake were considered good in their own right (in Japan and from importers years back), to my knowledge the Vita version of Innocence trumps the DS one, leaving the only English version the inferior game. I could be wrong though as I haven't personally played it myself, so take the above as hearsay; I've been meaning to give Innocence DS a try regardless, but my flash cart is broken.
>Maybe a Radiant Mythology trilogy would work out too?
I don't know. Bamco seems pretty done with that subseries now, barring putting references to the Kanonnos in other games. And if they did rerelease, them, it wouldn't shock me if they were relagated to mobile instead. I remember some years back when there was an announcement that seemed to hint at being RM4, with a pink haired girl (possibly the missing "Spring" Kanonno) and an animal buddy that looked in line with the prior ones, but instead turned out the be Tales of Link for phones. And since then, all the crossover escort titles to come out have also been phone only. Barring Tactics Union, which got an expanded 3DS port as Reve Unitia.
