I played Prey, it was pretty fun. Shame that they called it Prey and that it has Bethesda in the box. I garantee that if those 2 things didn't happened, it would be considered a pretty neat game by everyone here. Of course, I pirated it
I have yet to try Mooncrash, but from what I've read it's essentially another entirely different section of the game that doesn't carry over to the main game.
You start in a base, move to a procedurally generated level and loot the whole place while handling the enemies you find. Once you finish, you open a door and move to the next level.
You keep everything you find in a level as you go forward, so there's a natural progression with the perks, although I wonder how that works out seeing how the game was also about not going too crazy with neuromods.
However, if you die you lose everything and have to start from scratch.
If you play the basegame running around with a shotgun and shooting aliens in the face instead of hiding and using cover, I guess the mentality will probably carry over well, and maybe using psychic powers as well, but otherwise I think it might end up being quite frustrating losing progress like that.
Then again, the game was somewhat simple (but long) in it's "progress" so it probably works?
