well tbh redshell is much less of a deal than it was made out to be, its about as intrusive as steamworks regarding data collection from what I understood, its the thing they ask your permission to phone home for on first game start
if you refuse to use steam, then yeah its pretty gay, if you use steam already that ship sailed long ago

no that's Unity Analytics.
Redshell was removed in 1.4.4 ( i think the current version is 1.4.5 ), due to massive outcry and butthurt.
Unity Analytics is still included, they give you a chance to opt-out at the start of the game, but it's not an opt-out where the game doesn't send the data. When you click opt-out, it just opens up your browser and sends Unity your unique tracking id, saying you want to opt-out, so they "ignore" the data coming from your game.
You can completely remove this botnet though. There's a unity analytics DLL inside of KSP_x64_Data/Managed. Delete this DLL, the game will still start and it won't cause problems. The only way to be sure though is to completely firewall off the executable.
>if you refuse to use steam, then yeah its pretty gay
ya no shit, this botnet infects the GoG version.

This. People don't realize that proper autism is specialist: repetition passes as enjoyable to them. This is why they're so stubborn and unwilling to try new things. A truly autistic game has no new features after the first five minutes or so.

Makes you wonder: someone who plays Fortnite for 6-8 hours every single day must also have autism. Otherwise, wouldn't they be bored by now?
Really, any game can be autism if you get really fiddly with it. Especially anything that allows for free placement of buildings and is focused on those buildings.

If you're doing a basic build, is circuitry even necessary? I know you can do signals to make crazy stuff, but is it that important?

I've found it only to be really important for keeping fluid levels balanced (automating cracking). It's also useful for not wasting fuel in nuclear reactors.

Circuitry isn't very useful for anything practical. There's 2 good uses for it, balancing oils, and balancing Uranium, but that's it.

>If you're doing a basic build, is circuitry even necessary?
You probably want some for fluid cracking but in general they're not really necessary. Stuff like belt compression and priority splitters can be done without circuits in recent versions, and even those were fairly unimportant/rare uses.
