I'm going on a month long trip and will be away from my computer. I need to keep practicing my vidya skills. Which games do you recommend?

I play mostly racing games, real time strategy, FPS, some turn-based and grand strategy, survival games and resource management simulators. I'm getting into TCGs too.

You could always emulate(PSX, GBA, DS, SNES, maybe even PSP), and the touch controls are decent for turn based games, and some easy action games, like Kirby, but for more action-focused games, you could buy a controller, kinda like pic related(as in the design, not the brand itself), since they can stretch and fit most phones.

For Android only games, there are plenty of time-wasters, but a decent "strategy" game, that I like is Plague Inc, if you played the flash game, Pandemic 2, it's like that but more more variety, and you can choose were to start.

To clarify, I want pretty much any Android vidya with the highest skillcap possible. From previous experience and some googling, I can identify the following ones:

>Hearthstone

>Pokémon TCG Online

>Yu Gi Oh Duel Links

>Vainglory

>Love Live School Idol Festival

>Bloons TD Baddies

>PUBG Mobile

>OpenTTD

>Dodonpachi Resurrection

>14px

>Super Hexagon

>some good ol' chess

>Aftermath

I have an USB OTG cable and a PC controller. Will that cut it?

I am sure you can google that shit.

Gonna shill this game every thread from now on. The only phone game I've found thanks to other anons that I can stomach.

Just get a bunch of PSP&GBA ports

>Duel Links

>Heaethstone

>high skill

Anon that's a load of bullshit and both you and I know that. Yes, technically both games have relatively "high" level gameplay, but without throwing dosh you will never get there

>Duel Links

>when ygpopo exists

You goofed.

You could try a bunch of those random tie in games 20 people played. Deus Ex The Fall and that Dead Space one come to mind, but I'm sure there are others.

Other than that, just pirate the DS emulator that everyone uses, I think it's called DraStic, and use that to work through the backlog.

Is it just me, or have there been a lot of mobile game threads lately?

>People actually play games on their Androidshits

I have a modern flagship Smartphone, latest 64-bit Snapdragon DDR4 Vulkan support 1440p screen. The whole fucking show. And never have I ever even once had even the slightest desire to want to play video games on this thing. The specs are nice for smooth web browsing and watching HD videos but the idea of running video games on this thing is just not even a reality for me. Phones aren't gaming devices. They never will be

My Nexus 6 gets really warm when I try to run anything very intensive on it myself. It's kinda concerning. If I ever had to mobile game, I'd probably use a Chromebook with Play Store support than my phone if I had it on hand while travelling.

At that point you might as well get a real laptop that can play real games and not fake mobile shit

I think the same, but I won't have any PC for the remainder of the month. I require mobile games right now.

I have been tickled pink with just how many Linux games/ports my current old Chromebook can run if you throw Linux onto it, but it is showing its age. Also gaming laptops are way too expensive just to have some fancy post possessing and shading effects.

Seems like we have had more threads for recommending mobile games this past month than for PC or console. Most of the threads are just people listing games rather than having discussions. Maybe if we had a chart of recommended mobile games or something it would solve the issue entirely.

Please do it. It would be such a great original content.

DS too, the emulation is pretty good for it on Android oddly.

I have a PC, but for something like GBA and sometimes PSX, I would rather play it on the phone, rather than on the big screen of my monitor, or on a TV(if I connect the computer to it), with keyboard/controller, for me it's much more comfortable to stay in bed with the phone in my hand, playing a turn-based JRPG or puzzle game, than sit with a laptop/tablet or have a controller hooked to the PC. Plus if I am in a bus or train or wait in line, it's much more comfortable and portable to use the phone and play some Yu-Ghi-Oh Wordwide for the GBA, than to pull a laptop from my backpack and play the same game, or maybe some other game with better graphics.

On the other hand, I can't understand why you would buy a phone with those specs, I doubt you can notice the difference between 1080 and 1440 on a six inch, and I barely care if the phone as 1 GB or 8 GB of RAM, if it can emulate PSX, GBA and maybe DS then I am satisfied, any more would be overkill and a waste of money.

Let's start one in this thread.

Personally I'd only suggest the recommendation/chart of non-gacha vidya,

plus bonus points for more intuitive the controls (takes advantage of android controls, touch screen for example, rather than virtual buttons).

Games like:

>>15430699

Osmos HD

Plague Inc.

Mekorama

Emulators should probably be on a separate category:

PPSSPP

RetroArch
