Typical RTS affair, if you've played any other RTS, this one won't stand out much from the pack, it's decent, and it has a pretty interesting story mode, where you can play as either the Fascists, or Republicans. In the Fascist campaign, you can also play as the German and Italian forces that helped the Fascist side, and on the Republican side… uh, I don't remember, it wasn't as memorable.

Of the ones I've played (March of the Black Queen, Ogre Battle 64 Tactics Ogre), they're very good if you want a good RTS/ Turn-based tactics game (in the case of Tactics Ogre) with a serviceable-to-alright plot. There's a nice amount of customization and in the more RTS focused titles there's more on pre-battle planning rather than actual combat, but it's definitely a must if you like RTses any game where you have to create a good strategy in order to win and minimize losses. I'll say this though, the only real downside is the gameplay of the two more RTSes, which while good, would feel more natural on a keyboard instead of a controller, but that's pretty minor in comparison to what it does right. I say start with Tactics Ogre then play MotBQ then Ogre Battle 64, just for the sake of getting used to the mechanics.

Personally, the obscure war I'd like to see represented in games is the Russo-Japanese war, an FPS/RTS where you could play as both sides would be awesome, specially if you could use both infantry and navy.

not a "war' per say but I would like to see a game set in a shithole like mexico or brazil where you'd have to play as a unit like BOPE and do some dirty shit. Heavy urban combat setting and SWAT doorkicking appeals to me but I feel too many are sympathetic to the criminals in these places and don't wanna make a game where you essentially play as a death squad

not at all, most of the tech used had already been used in multiple European wars prior and at a tactical level the civil war was uninteresting, neither side was competent enough to win decisive battles so it was just a long war of attrition until the greater resources of the Union won out

Actually there are several documentaries that state the opposite, that nationalists executed civilians. On a documentary ran by History Channel, they had a bunch of ANGLOS, talk about SPANISH history, claiming such, that the nationalists executed civilians, and their proof were photos of executions, but here's the kicker. THE PEOPLE DOING THE EXECUTION WERE WEARING REPUBLICAN UNIFORMS. Anyone who knows anything about the civil war knows that, the balls on some people.
