When you throw streamers into the mix that really fucks shit up, most of the ones I've seen can't seem to handle anything that requires a good amount of reading or is too slow paced. I'd say hunting games but Cabela's has done no favors casualizing the hell out of the genre.

Chess, Go, X3, DCS, SpaceChem, basically anything that requires thought and lacks silliness for a streamer to make reaction faces to. Somehow Kerbal has a relatively low cancer rate despite flying very close to the sun - reddit, streamers, etc. are all over it but it stays mostly pure.
There are a couple entire genres that are completely pristine but I've realized are only so because they're unknown so I'm going to avoid mentioning them and if you're thinking of one I'd suggest doing the same.

Have you ever actually looked into the Freespace community? Hard-Light Productions has a very active Discord server. And you may not care, but some of the Blue Planet developers are radical leftists, the lead writer in particular. But War in Heaven is about buddhist space lesbians fighting off an evil colonialist military state who actually did nothing wrong, so you might have guessed as much.

When normalfags invade a game, the publisher and developer realizes they're about to reach a larger market. So they appeal to that market since it's larger, and shit all over the previous fans. It doesn't always happen, but normalfags can easily ruin good single player games.
