>A fair point, but it was the amount of loading and battery wear that killed them
Yeah again, it had obvious flaws. But another thing worth to note is that you could find 18+ eroge VNs (and adult content in general) being printed as UMD Videos for the PSP since they didnt have to go through Sony's and CERO's approval that way. That's one thing that sadly disappeared with the Vita. I own the umd isos of School Days, Summer Days and a few others but good luck finding the rest in the internet tho.
>I like the Vita for what it was, but it did seem a bit of a shame more companies didn't try to make it double as a PS2P, so to speak.
I believe it's a whole combination of
<Sony's poor advertising of the Vita in the West (Japan has constantly been advertising it on the other hand) and constant jacked up prices of the memory card
<Old studios no longer alive, or went elsewhere to cater to a different audience/market
<Better PC & home console hardware mean devs can be freely lazy now, while handhelds have still the same restrictions that force them to think things over.
I also like the Vita for what it is, but I would have been delighted by something like Growlanser collections (since only the first one and the fourth were ported on the PSP), another Boku no Natsuyasumi (childhood summer vacation simulator), the other PS2 Tales of, GrimGrimoire, Rogue Galaxy, the Zero/Siren games, an actual good Ridge Racer (I still play the PSP RR2 to this day), etc
>At the same time though, various PS2 HD collections on it had enough issues at times.
I recall hearing the Jak&Daxter was the most fucked up one. God of War Collection had the first game having issues, and I read Ratchet&Clank had various bugs on both the PS3 and Vita versions. MGS, FF10 and Sly were fine to my experience. Zone of the Enders Collection never ever
>NISA is reason enough to complain.
I was speaking more about nip release themselves. As far as I know, NISA stopped to give a shit about the Vita, to the point of rather porting games like Coven & Labyrinth of Refrain (a Vita exclusive originally) to the Switch instead. This generated enough salt that made their forums into lockdown for a while.
