We had some great Pathologic threads when Classic HD was released, and now the demo for alpha/beta backers are starting to drop. I'm one of them, but the lack of the ability to save is pretty much a deal breaker for me.

So I thought back of the heydays of the pathologic threads and /v/ definitely barely talked about the other games of theirs. The Void got some discussion, but Knock Knock and Cargo! The Quest for Gravity basically got acknowledged but fuckall else, like nobody was willing to play them. It's a shame, as Knock-knock is a neat, if a bit needlessly obtuse horror game, and Cargo! is essentially Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts except good.

I thought about giving Knock Knock a try, but heard that it has a hidden timer - something which I absolutely hate (couldn't enjoy The Void for similar reasons).

Knock Knock locks you out of the true path unless you interact with a girl in the woods, basically. The problem is, that interaction is much rarer than it needs to be, and it has a big chance to just do nothing, too. I might be exaggerating the problem though. Maybe I just had a ludicrously bad luck in the matter.

Brutal. There's a lot of walking, but it's very much a resource management game, one that requires you to optimize the fuck out of your every move to progress. The gist of it is that you have to collect different Colors and donate enough of them to a waifu of your choice to reach the ending, but generating enough color is best described as a son of a bitch, especially since bosses are harrassing you and trying to steal your color all the time.

Cargo! was the first game of theirs I played, just thought it was a building/puzzle game from screenshots before I got introduced to the weird little Hotwheels guys.

Look, I'm not going to pretend Pathologic 2 is a smart title, but your posted an entire roadmap of bullshit and it all amounts to fucking nothing. I've played the alpha, it's very much Pathologic, I just personally have a problem with it because of the you can't save meme, but does it seem like a publisher fucked the content ? Hell no. Everything I played was everything I expected.

Well that's good then. I did back it on kikestarter and I tried The Marble Nest when it came out, but I've not been following the development much nor do I have any experience with the original Pathologic. But when people known for doing retarded shit get involved and immediately start doing retarded shit, I wasn't really hopeful that they wouldn't continue doing retarded shit in the future as well.

Wasn't expecting someone else to bring up TinyBuild's claim to fame like that - the whole Punch Club incident seemed to have gone straight into the memory hole, with the Wikipedia page for TinyBuild celebrating the (((brilliant marketing strategy success))) the game was for the publisher.

I'm playing the demo that's out now, and it really doesn't look like TinyBuild's reached their hands into it at all, but even with the game itself not having been touched by TinyBuild I'm still afraid that they're going to pull some last minute marketing stunt for it like they did for Punch Club that's going to completely fucking tank the game's sales for Ice Pick Lodge.

Then there's just how many people I've told about the game only to then have to explain to them that it's not actually a sequel and they wouldn't have to actually get the original game as well to be able to play it and understand it properly…
