Ok I have a problem, ludwig on NG+3 is really unbalanced. (>inb4 git gud) I can't recall what level my dex build is but I know she has 1544 health and alot of stamina. My main weapon is the +10 burial blade with the best gems I have, it does 455 damage or something around that. Anyway I do completely fine against him, get nicked a bit but that happens with every boss I've ever fought. The problem is his special attacks, they one shot me. Does anyone know how much damage his lunge attack does on NG+3? How much vitality would I need to survive it?

Considering that his MLGS nearly oneshotted me on NG and that's after I was over leveled from tomb exploring, I'm guessing 99 vit.

pretty much this. If you've been relying on being able to take a hit then you've been playing wrong. Vit is a pvp stat, if you're good you never have to raise it because you never get hit, and ailments like slow poison don't get stronger in NG+ cycles.

This is actually the most reasonable approach. The moonlight blasts have a long, obvious charge up. Just be anywhere else when he starts flinging blue green energy blasts.

If you really are having trouble then summon Valtr as a distraction.

You're a glass cannon in pretty much every BB build. You have to dodge right or parry. I hate the beast bosses, they fuck my shit up. I have no problem with Ludwig in his more human form.

From what I remember about the fight the first phase is pretty easy once you have it down. If you take some beast pills and use transformation attacks I think you can chain breaking his legs for some pretty good damage. Second phase was pretty hard because his sword swings all look the same, but they've got different dodge timings. I eventually wound up winning it by being really patient with my attacks. Try changing your runes and armor up. They might push you into surviving.
