The game went to absolute shit after MoP was over PvP wise. WoD was a joke, Legion was even more of a joke, and BFA is ABSOLUTE SHIT pvp wise. The GCD change and the lack of artifact has made this game slow and very very simple

I say the same. As said before, night Elves should have been into the horde faction, while Blood elves should have been into the Alliance (You know, the Alliance of Men, dwarves & ELVES). No, you're misunderstanding. Raid mobs don't actually drop loot. There's nothing on the body. When someone loots a raid boss it triggers a personal loot check for everyone. It's the LFR system for all of raiding now. The exception is old raids, which also use personal loot but you're guaranteed to get at least something, there's no bonus loot roll, and you can only get stuff for your class, apart from gear tokens

Considering MOBAs started from Warcraft 3 mod it doesn't surprise me they would make a good version of that game style, but I do not like them because they overshadow actual decent RTS games. I couldn't sit through 10 games of Heroes of the Storm because I simply don't like MOBAs.

I've tried DOTA 2, League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, and a handful of others. Hundreds of regretted lost hours in what is essentially the worst game genre I've ever played. I had friends who enjoyed them and I tried to get into them but I'd honestly rather play rogue-likes, FPS, TPS, RPG, RTS, or any even barbie horse racing.

I think it was a better game but had a shit ton of problems with that said. Classics main problems were with class spec pigeon-holing due to all balance revolving around raids (Tigoles influence no doubt). PVP viability in Classic was seriously lacking due to this and the honor grind was made a bit too insane. Blizzards solution to the lack of PVP content was to implement a battlegrounds which revolved around PVE which satisfied no one.

TBC is the absolute peak of WoW and had a perfect combo of Classic WoW systems with new balances to dungeons (heroics), rebalancing raids to 25 man, adding an arena system for PVPers who didn't want to raid etc (and still had 5v5).

WotLK is where you begin to see nu-WoW begin to rear its head. Everything is easily facerolled including heroics. Everyone decked out in epics a few weeks after launch etc.

Current WoW feels like a schizophrenic mish mash of a decade and half of constant rebalancing, and random features being added for casuals. A lot of things don't make sense. All the classes feel the same and can all heal and do damage etc. In current wow it feels like nothing matters and there is no real world. It feels like a really shitty version of Guild Wars. At this point it is barely even an MMO.

I still would argue that it's more playable than classic WoW if you focus on the gameplay aspects. Community is outside of the game's control and shouldn't be counted. Classic wow also had great choices as the low as fuck debuff limit, poisons lowering dps (yes this was a real thing for awhile), and incredibly slow travel.

Current WoW has actually more problems than you listed, thanks to the constant stat squishes you simply don't progress at any noticeable rate, and as the whole world scales now you never get a feeling of progression, leaving the whole game feeling absurdly shallow and pointless. That level 23 boar you kill will scale all the way to level 60 with you for absolutely no reason. Gameplay wise the characters are absurdly simplified from even Legion, and as soon as you hit level 100 now, you never need to change your rotation. Azurite is hands down the worst progression mechanic I've ever seen in a game, I can go into a 20 minute tirade about how horrible azurite is, but lets leave it at the worst MMO progression mechanic I've ever seen.

All that said though, it's just a matter of content that makes BFA win out over vanilla imo. Most of the glaring bugs are ironed out, along with most of the fun, but you'll never get the GOTCHA trap of class selection that vanilla pulled on you.

you see, blizzard is negligible for the tools it gives the community to access each other, or rather the need of each other.

in vanilla and BC there was no cross-realm or dungeon finder, so not only you needed others to achieve running dungeons or raids, you had to network and get along with these people. This encouraged networking, socializing, getting to know your server and it's talent pool.

With WOTLK and dungeon finder, that was greatly diminished, and in cata with LFR largely thrown out the window (since most of WoW players who raid only do LFR).

With MOP and the premade group, and with the dime a dozen players to pick and drop if you don't like them, the sense of community completely disappeared, along with any need to interact with your server or any players outside your guild.
